EVOLghost 05.05.2009 11:59 AM

I didn't play many besides teh Zelda's. I did play Final Fantasy Tactics on GBA. And don't forget about the best handheld puzzle game Tetris..

SYRFox 05.05.2009 12:06 PM

Pokemon Blue is all you need really

Better_Than_You 05.05.2009 12:22 PM

personally i thought perfect dark kind of stunk. i played pokemon yellow&silver for hours. dragon warrior III is the shit too.

noisereductions 05.05.2009 12:38 PM

I've really never understood what's appealing about the Pokemon games. I've never even touched one. [shrug]

Better_Than_You 05.05.2009 12:41 PM

you should start.

its like... extreme gigapets.

this may not appeal to you unless you're a 90s kid.

Silent Dan Speaks 05.05.2009 01:12 PM

Golden Sun is so good. I never played the second one though.

noisereductions 05.05.2009 01:16 PM

I'm an 80's kid. I didn't understand why anyone liked Gigapets either.

noisereductions 05.05.2009 01:17 PM

(I'm pretty sure most of my Animal Crossing town hates me.)

static-harmony 05.05.2009 01:20 PM

Zelda.

Dr. Eugene Felikson 05.05.2009 01:21 PM

I'm actually thinking about purchasing a used GameBoy Micro (only 29.99, just checked!) with a used copy of Golden Sun now.

Has anyone ever played a Gameboy Micro?

Thanks for the cravings, NR.

noisereductions 05.05.2009 01:26 PM

haha, sure. Never played the Micro. I think the regular GBA goes for $20 thru Gamestop etc.

Anway, what's Golden Sun?

Better_Than_You 05.05.2009 01:29 PM

I will agree that Zelda III is the best of the series. Maybe the best game ever.

greedrex 05.05.2009 02:01 PM

Tetris FTMFW

automatic bzooty 05.05.2009 02:12 PM

ocarina of time was the best zelda game!

i've been playing pokemon silver on my most recent sick days.

Sonic Youth 37 05.05.2009 02:42 PM

This is all you need. Extreme replay value because after the first four times you beat the game, you get a new mode: Magician, Fighter, Shoot, Thief and replaying with those modes is a challenge due to variations in Stats and item drop. Not to mention some of the best GBA graphics, best boss battles, and a story mode that took me like 30ish hours to finish including finding all but one of the DSS cards, the remaining card took me 10 more hours and walkthrough.

FYI, that's an Earth Whip being used against a Ghoul with two Will o'the Wisps floating above.

noisereductions 05.05.2009 02:47 PM

Castlevania games are great in general.

atsonicpark 05.05.2009 03:23 PM

Dunno what anyone else has said but..

any zelda games
any castlevania games
gunstar super heroes
pokemon puzzle league (aka tetris attack, best puzzle game EVER)
drill dozer
metroid fusion and zero mission or whatever it was called

no you lie.

Derek 05.05.2009 04:43 PM

Pokemon Puzzle League ruled so much. I loved it as a kid, it was a great addition to the Pokemon games which I spent my childhood playing.

atsonicpark 05.05.2009 05:08 PM

Tetris Attack/pokemon puzzle league/planet puzzle league/PANEL DE PON is indeed the best puzzle game ever.

The only thing that even comes close is SUPER PUZZLE FIGHTER II TURBO.

Dr. Mario and the original Tetris and Columns are also <3

Kloriel 05.05.2009 09:36 PM

whew ehew

and we all sweat dew dew

Death & the Maiden 05.05.2009 10:49 PM

I think I still have all my old Gameboys. I used to be very into Pokemon, I had Blue, Red, Silver and Crystal. I tried to play Silver at the start of the year, but I couldn't because the game's inner battery had worn out, I couldn't retain saved games. I had to play Firered instead :(.

Harmony Of Dissonance was good, but not on the level on COTM

On a related note, would anyone happen to have a copy of Aria of Sorrow that they'd be willing to part with for a reasonable price. Ebay is hella expensive.

noisereductions 05.08.2009 08:07 PM

Just found an original Gameboy version of Tetris today after work! Score!

noisereductions 05.09.2009 05:50 PM

I'm playing Link To The Past right now on the ol' Gameboy Player.

Sounds like fun :D

Sonic Youth 37 05.11.2009 08:48 PM

A trip to 3 Gamestops, a Gamecube controller and $8 yielded Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow today. I'm about 1/4-1/3 finished with about 2 hours played. So far it's much better than Harmony of Dissonance (AoS looks more like Circle of the Moon. With HoD, the characters/enemies were too big on the screen). The soul collection thing replaces the DSS or Gems/Books AND Subweapons of the last two. Now MP controls "subweapon" use and magical stuff. Basically, you can 3 souls equipped. 1 that gives you a subweapon, 1 that gives you flight, shield, etc, and 1 that is adds a passive/buffer effect (+4 Luck, Poison damage now boosts, 20% off store prices)
