It is so fun to sing along to early Pearl Jam
Don't know what he's singing? Fuck, who cares, make up your own lyrics.
No Code is an amazing album, though. |
Gross.
|
What is it not underground enough for you
|
Probably just has too much Eddie Vedder.
|
I imagine it would be fun to sing along to any Pearl Jam in a blathering Scott Stapp voice like this:

no it's just that they're a FUCKING awful shit band. |

Say what? |

haha pretty much this. And what the other poster said about having too much Eddie Vedder. That voice is so fuckin' obnoxious...just sounds like Creed and the like these days. |

While I do think they've released some great records, I agree No Code is a motherfucker of a record. I think a lot of people overlook it because it didn't really have a big single, or the PJ fans who hate it listen to Sometimes and think it doesn't so good so that means the rest of the album is by association terrible. Definitely one of my favorites ever. ~Jeremy~ |

Yr right about the Creed thing, but I have no idea what psychspark is. 45 grave is fun though. |

how can you begin to presume what other people think? i loved PJ when i was young but never bought anything after Vs. Then last year i re-bought ten and vs. on cd and realized that they were actualy shite. bits of vs. were ok but as a whole it was gash. it was like finding out father christmas wasn't real. or that christy didn't actually fancy me after all. gutted. |

That's SUCH a westernquinox quote (no spelling errors, though). I wonder... |
Pearl Jam wrote some great anthemic rock songs.
Sure, Eddie Vedder is a non-rockstar the likes of which we haven't seen since Michael Stipe, but they wrote some great songs, and are ya'll forgetting that Eddie Vedder was t he one who was imitated....? For the record I would eliminate every peral jam record and song if it meant we could be rid of Nickelback and creed. |
ha ha what a shitty band. not nice at all.

Uhmmm.... Because people on the Given to Wail and Red Mosquito forums (The two largest PJ forums) both have said in threads how they hate Sometimes (For how slow it is) and how they couldn't listen to the rest of the record because of it? So I'm not really presuming but rather putting out their thoughts. ~Jeremy~ |

fair enough. they sound like idiots though nice "uhmm" by the way |
PJ is a major snooze for me. No offense to anyone who likes them.

I agree with just about everything you said. But I met Jen on myspace. ha. |

No Code is my fave |

I really couldn't agrfee with you more. Ten is a bore... EDIT: repped ya bra. |
Quote:
Wow Sometimes is a fantastic song. They're ghey. |
Quote:
I agree completely. To judge an album by the opening song and not even listen to the rest of completely idiotic, especially when it's an album like No Code. And yes Sometimes does kick major ass. ~Jeremy~ |

and yeah no code is the only pj album that i can bring myself to listen to. and vitology |

Vitalogy is my second favorite as well. I see some people on there diss on No Code, though. Then again this was back before the site was hacked eight times and the forums had to be brought back anew every time. ~Jeremy~ |
hey Jeremy, I heard you spoke in CLASSSSS TODAYYYYYYYYY
|
Quote:
That's just a rumor. I was mostly quiet and kept to myself. ~Jeremy~ |
There's lots of mainstream rock out there that is much worse. PJ has a few good radio hits. Nothing I'm going to spend my money on though, but I don't mind them too much if they're played at a bar, considering some of the alternatives. Why would anyone bother hating them?
