and...I don't seem to see it mentioned in either article, but after they found additional recordings (something done in italian) they discovered that the playback of the first piece was much too fast. after slowing it down to the same speed that the italian recordings were done in, it became apparent that the voice was that of the inventor (and not a child as previously suspected).
