I have never watched Jimmy Fallon before, and had the sound down until SY came on. I don't think I'll bother watching him again. His fake laughter was annoying.

pretty awesome performance. i could barely hear thurston and lee though. mostly just the bass and drumming. steve kicked ass

i like how before the end credits, i really thought lee was going to let some feedback come out but the roots started playing their gay song and i was disappointed

That's funny, I was trying to figure out the same thing. All I could make out was a drawing of a presumably nude guy squatting, though at one point when Thurston's guitar strap wasn't in the way, I thought I might have seen a glimspe of another figure behind him. Either way, it made me chuckle.

Edit: it was at 3:29, but all it looks like is a second pair of legs behind the guy. Not sure the meaning of the shirt, but I'm sure it has a story.

this is great, one of my favorites on eternal! yeah, thurston looks like 25 or smth.

EDIT: AMAZING PERFORMANCE! steve destroyed, and i havent seen kim rock out like that in a while! and i think lee's reaction is hilarious when jimmy doesnt shake his hand.

Thanks for posting this. I didn't even make it through Fallon's god-awful monologue last night. It was like sitting through an incredibly bad opening act waiting for the headliner to play.

(And after reading a brilliant description of this show as a prime example of schadenfreude - I've taken to simply referring to the Fallen-freude show... I agree - he's painful to watch, and I actually had some HOPE when he took over... though having The Roots as a house band was a stroke of genius!)

That was a damn good performance. It's so weird to hear actual bass going through the song, but the good kind of weird.
