I usually work 3rd shift but I'll admit, I've been calling in to work moreso recently. It pisses my boss off, but he pissed me off. He turned down a raise last week because he said I had an attitude problem because I smarted off to him nearly a YEAR AGO, about a week after my aunt had died. I even apologized to him, and he worked it out (I thought) but a good 11 1/2 months later he brings it up to me and says that I can't have a raise. So, I went against company policy and made sure and told every other manager and associate that I work with in the entire store (I've probably told 40 people, they've probably let the rest of the store know) and I guess everyone's saying shit to this manager now about how he is an idiot because I'm one of the best workers there. One of my other managers said to me, "He's fucking heartless." On top of that, I've been calling in a bunch because there's some dude I know who has called in 22 times in the past 6 months and not gotten in trouble. Yeah, I'm being immature a bit, but you know what? Fuck it. I have almost 20 grand saved up. I don't even need that job. In fact, I don't know why I still go in there at all. The point is, yeah, because I work 3rd shift, I've had badass "weirdo sleeping patterns" forever, and I've always been an insomniac on top of it so...

i have to be moved out of my apartment in less than 24 ... i've been up since 8 working at it... but i think i'm gonna be up all night... moving is so much fun.

Just woke up. It's 11:30PM. Something like a three hour nap.

Actually, I usually don't talk about this on the board, but fuck it, I'm opening up about other shit elsewhere, might as well talk about the big green... I have given thousands of dollars to my mom, hundreds of dollars to charity, and ... way too much (an embarassing amount of) money to even bother mentioning ... to my girlfriend. I also regularly "donate" money to musicians and filmmakers that I like. I have given a thousand dollars to one filmmaker in particular this past year. I'm not just giving it away, I'm giving it to people who have personally touched my soul in profound and important ways... I spend way more money on other people than I do on myself, because there's not much I want in life. In fact, I have everything I want or need pretty much (I found a digital video camera yesterday for cheap)... So, I guess that's kinda why I feel stuck. Because I thought, man.. 'once I get all this money, I'll be happy!' Nope. Material possessions don't make me happy. So, what does? Giving money away doesn't make me feel happy.. though, at the same time, it makes me kinda smile, a little bit, to know I might contribute to someone else's happiness, in a small way. I dunno yet what makes me happy. I'm still looking.
