UUUUUU, as some of you may already know, is the project by our fellow modest boardie Derek. Earlier today, he sent me a download link to his new album called "Prescient", for he knew I was a drone enthusiastic.
While he's too lazy to do his own shameless self-promo, I'm gonna take this responsibility, since the music is truly world-class. If you're into dreamy mininalistic guitar drone (think Gareth Hardwick, but more vivid and less ketamine-soaked), please do yourself a favour and ask Derek for the download link. you won't regret.

Totally agree. I listen to tons of drone and I gotta say, with no obligations to give out free handjobs (since Derek is my pal), this is absolutely top of the fucking pops stuff. I love it. Really wore this album out over the past 6 weeks.

I was listening to this record in a loop yesterday and when my girlfriend came into my room, she was like: who is that? I like it much better than all of thar regular ambient stuff you listen to regularly."

That's funny, because I burned it for my girlfriend about 6 weeks ago, and she really enjoyed it. She's not a big drone/ambient fan but we listened to it on a road trip and she was like "this is really good, not boring like most of the other stuff like this." Haha.

Cool album, Derek. Kinda reminded me of Tim Hecker - which is a good thing! The only complaint I'd have to do is that some things last for too long imo... but it's not that important really. Really, cool album

i think it was more in the earlier songs. there were some tones and melodies that reminded me of coil.
