val-holla-ing 06.23.2006 08:04 PM

doesn't victor wooten join them for kool thing in some cities?

HaydenAsche 06.23.2006 08:06 PM

Yeah. I really hope that he plays in MN.

val-holla-ing 06.23.2006 08:13 PM

dude, he's like if yngwie malmsteem and geddy fuckin' lee had a kid with 30 fingers. when he plays, it's like "bleeeadadodododododdwadaaaaaoooow"

HaydenAsche 06.23.2006 08:14 PM

He slaps the SHIT out of that bass.

Steve's contraption is fucking ace.

val-holla-ing 06.23.2006 08:21 PM

scrotally.

CHOUT 06.23.2006 09:13 PM

Stanley Clarke, Jaco's ghost, Billy Sheehan and Jeff Berlin are all making guest appearances on this tour.

The looser the waistband, the deeper the quicksand.

Are you going to the State Fair show?

HaydenAsche 06.23.2006 11:16 PM

I will. He'll be too busy slapping up that bass to hear probably.

HaydenAsche 06.23.2006 11:17 PM

Lee and I have a date in the bathroom after the show. I'm hitting that. Steve can join too. Fuck Thurston. He can jerk off.

krastian 06.23.2006 11:18 PM

Yeah man, Steve's been tearing it up this tour!!!!

Sorry, had to do it....

HaydenAsche 06.23.2006 11:20 PM

DOUBLE PEDAL HXC!

I can play the double pedal so good, nucca.

acousticrock87 06.23.2006 11:22 PM

That's what I thought this thread meant at first. I was disappointed.

I'm pretty good with it, but I honestly don't like to use it that much with most of the music I play.

acousticrock87 06.24.2006 02:22 AM

The drum teacher I had for about a year "specialized" in double bass. But I could never afford a pedal. It's really just a matter of how much you do it. He had a book of beats that was excellent at progressing double bass coordination, though.

HaydenAsche 06.24.2006 03:41 PM

I hang out with kids who listen to hxc. I don't like it either. I can't play the rest of the set when I'm doing the pedal.

Of fucking course. I'll see you there. I'll only recognize you from the side of your head.

You'll see me with a bunch of other hipsters smoking and drinking coffee more than likely. I'm pretty excited even if they do play alot of Rather Ripped stuff.

HaydenAsche 06.25.2006 12:15 AM

I didn't say I was going to enjoy those songs. I'll shout "Shaking Hell!" during Rats. I just said I was excited for the show. The show OBVIOUSLY meaning good songs.

HaydenAsche 06.25.2006 12:17 AM

I yelled that at the last show.

I thought you meant that you saw a double bass on stage. That would be awesome.

ozZuB-ginK 06.25.2006 12:07 PM

pointless to post a thread asking a serious question on the board these days....

the songs they had 2 basses on were (from what i can remember)
incinerate
eric's trip
schizophrenia
catholic block
sleeping around
do you believe in rapture
100 %
or
lights out

pretty much any song kim does not sing on and played bass on the record, her and mark ibold both played bass.

thurston played bass on rats and mark played guitar
also thurston played bass on shaking hell (obviously) while mark left the stage for the night - was last song of the night.
