hallelujah!

demonrail666 08.28.2009 06:48 PM

shit. what band are indie boys and girls gonna hate on now?

TheFoxBen 08.28.2009 07:03 PM

Well it doesn't make any difference, you can still hate them, even seperated.

atsonicpark 08.28.2009 07:12 PM

who?

*edit:* Oh, some band who had a couple hits in the early-90's. Didnt realize they were still together.

Not a big loss here.

How many times has "X" band say they've broken up for good?

Until one of the Gallagher brothers dies, nothing is absolute in its finality.

pbradley 08.28.2009 11:00 PM

Death is but a doorway, time is but a window, they'll be back.

Jasónico 08.29.2009 12:02 AM

Is the beginning of a great weekend.

jon boy 08.29.2009 12:22 AM

i started drinking before, in the hope that this would happen.

Florya 08.29.2009 01:23 AM

They ceased to be relevant a decade ago.

I enjoyed their earlier work, even bought one of their albums.

But now, all the Gallaghers are good for are as candidates for Celebrity Big Brother.

Thank you.

demonrail666 08.29.2009 05:32 AM

Definitely Maybe was great
(What's The Story) Morning Glory was OK
Be Here Now wasn't all that bad.

After that they just turned into Traffic

Have a good life you egocenteric fucking twats.

Even I love your first album.

sarramkrop 08.29.2009 06:12 AM

Yeah I like that first album too, it's an oasis of goodness in a sea of crap.

Phlegmscope 08.29.2009 06:14 AM

I think there's something wrong when this kind of stuff gets to the national news (not only bbc, but here too). But it was nice to come home yesterday drunk and see this reported. Already quite pleasant evening turned a bit better.
Lads can now fuck off.

I even might have a wank to this later today.

MellySingsDoom 08.29.2009 08:39 AM

If I was the bass player for Oasis, I'd be thinking about a lucrative career in taxi-driving about now.

Oasis never came close to the majesty of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxvetM7uqms

I was thinking that too when I watched the news this morning. Maybe there's a lack of interesting news to report (I doubt it).

sarramkrop 08.29.2009 09:11 AM

No more Big Brother too. It's the start of a new era.

Dead-Air 08.29.2009 09:58 AM

Of course they broke up. There's no money to be made in "reunion tours" if you don't break up first!

I smell a very interesting series of Celebrity Big Brother coming up.

Toilet & Bowels 08.29.2009 10:29 AM

i was always surprised to that they stayed around as long as they did, they seem like such a relic of the 90s, plus i haven't heard a new oasis song in about 10 years.

infinitemusic 08.29.2009 11:33 AM

I bet more people could say that about sonic youth than could say that about oasis.

ghostbusters 2!!!

floatingslowly 08.29.2009 12:30 PM

I honestly had no idea that they were even "still together"; meaning, I had no idea that anyone "still listened" to them. I only think about them when I want to laugh about "SUPA NOVERS".

they're fucking brothers. you can't call it quits (believe me, I've tried).

this is a poor attempt at getting their name in the news (even if they "really mean it").

who knows, way more people listened to oasis and they were a much bigger deal back then than sonic youth ever were.

Glice 08.29.2009 01:17 PM

You'll quite often find that a lot of people have no idea that the Fall or Sonic Youth didn't split up around 87 or 91 respectively.

SonicBebs 08.29.2009 01:18 PM

dont forget they've split up about 4 times before too
