...is so shitty it's almost unreal.

Could have guessed that from a MILE away.

I did like the other one they did but man... you could tell they were terribly uncreative.

I saw them live once out of curiosity. Needless to say it was an absolute bore-fest.

Really? I heard some good things about it. The single I've heard really sucks though so I'm prone to believe you.

Just heard Phantom Limb though and enjoyed it a lot. Sounds a lot like Black Dice

I read many rave reviews already and I don't think of what I heard it's really shit. It's quite good to be honest.

All songs sound just about the same, a shitty beat plus shitty everything else.

Didn't think it was possible for them to get worse.

Boring ass band.

And yeah, I think Fuck Buttons are a one hit wonder. Everything not entitled Sweet Love For Planet Earth by them has been awful.

They have like...one "song"...honestly.

Hmm. I enjoyed Street Horrrsing. I like the way Fuck Buttons take these harsh textures and turn them into ambient structures, then throw in some tribal percussive stuff. I dig 'em.

I've met them a couple of times. They're two really decent fellas who've worked really, really fucking hard and they've kept masses of control over great slews of their public aesthetic, whilst making an album that has been massively popular in spite of being, essentially, a noise record.

I think calling them uncreative or whatever is massively unfair. Obviously, it's the internet and all that, you can all run your mouths off as much as you like, but it strikes me that they were vaunted as flavour of the month and now girls like them you lot decide they're old news.

Who the fuck cares if it's popular? Popularity doesn't make it bad, but it sure as shit don't make it good.

I wanted to like the last one. Instead I liked a few parts of a few songs. So I gave up on them.

Neato, I just found out about Fuck Buttons today via Last.FM and liked them. Haven't heard their latest album, getting it now

I like this album after a first listen. Surf Solar is really stunning. A bit weaker in the middle of the album maybe, but I guess I'll enjoy it after a few more listens
