the Hollywood Bowl is perhaps the greatest venue in the WORLD! 20,000 capacity, and I have been to several sold out shows there... the best is reggae night every august (this year is Jimmy Cliff, its been burning spear, bunny wailer, Michael Rose etc etc) where 19,000 folks are dancing and singing Jah praises in chorus! mystics..

Radiohead at the Hollywood Bowl was perhaps one of the greatest shows I have ever been too..

I will DEFINITELY be at this show, and I will be the hysterical dancing Rasta in the H aisle (I NEVER sit in a seat, I buy the cheapest ticket and dance in the closest aisle to the stage)

the Hollywood Bowl has the FINEST sound system in all of California, that shit is LOUD!

static.. I'm thinking 40/60/80 like most rock gigs at the Bowl..

Never been to the Hollywood Bowl. I'm guessing it's a huge venue with seatin and everything, right?

As psyched as I am for this, I keep thinking that if they play with Mark then it will be mostly another Eternal show. I'm kind of hoping they play as a four piece and explore the back catalog (A Thousand Leaves, please!!!!). And waiting to see what the Euro gigs setlists are...

Man, that place honestly does not look appealing to me. Saw SY at the Greek Theatre once and hate it. I can't stand giant venues like that.

The greek sucks, I don't like it. don't let the greek dissuade you. Further, I hate arena shows, I almost exclusivey troll dancehalls and shitty 150 capacity dive gigs (sy@ the troubadour is one of my all-time fav gigs), but when it comes to the Hollywood Bowl, that place is pure magic..

trust me, go, you will not be disappointed in the slightest, but you will be if you miss it ;)

i will say... the pre sale tickets for the paul mccartney show there a month ago were AWFUL seats. hopefully this won't be the case.

you guys think SY will add more shows in the area later since they'll be in town? I really don't wanna go to that venue to sit in a chair a mile away from the band and take hours to park and hours to get out and pay ridiculous amounts for two tickets. I'm sure it sounds great and no offense meant to those who are going but it's just not for me.

but your being a pussy about the Bowl.. you don't sit in your seat, you can seat hop freely. I honestly never sit in any sit there, I dance in the lowest aisle cuz it is a slick floor like a dance floor, so I buy the worst and cheapest seats in the house just to get inside the door ;)

trust me, all you pessimists and nihilists should not be scared of the Bowl, it is pure magic.

parking for the bowl is easy, just park in the neighborhood that says -Don't Park here-

park at the Church at the bottom of the hill, best pricing, no box in, and you can blaze it in the parking lot ;)
