Which Sandwich?

Alright, so I realize you've all got more important threads to respond/argue away in. But if anyone else is hungry for something else. By all means, post here.

TOPIC AT HAND: What is your favorite sandwich? Cause I know you all have one.

Mine is the Rueben. Besides the fact that it may or may not have been invented in Omaha, and therefore I'm sort of partial to it. It taste like...I don't know, something good. Anyway.

The Rueben.

schizophrenicroom 07.11.2006 11:23 PM

the veggie sandwich at quiznos with a crapload of guacamole and chipotle sauce is to die for.

Пятхъдесят Шест 07.11.2006 11:24 PM

Depending on the thickness of the chipotle sauce, that could be good...

Sometimes they over do it with that stuff.

schizophrenicroom 07.11.2006 11:25 PM

It's a little thick. Yeah, they can overdo it, but still. SO GOOD.

k-krack 07.11.2006 11:30 PM

i like (from subway) just a veggie sammich with italian herb and cheese bread, lettuce, black olives, pickles, mayo and subsuacew. sometimes when i feel a lil squirly i get (gasp) ranch instead of subsauce. but not often, thats a rare occurance. happens though!

Cantankerous 07.11.2006 11:31 PM

Meatball w/cheese, please.

acousticrock87 07.11.2006 11:32 PM

Turkey, Salami, Mayonnaise, Swiss, a little bit of Pepperoncini

On wheat.

Norma J 07.11.2006 11:32 PM

Salad sandwich's are my bag, baby. With vegan butter and vegan bread.

Oh, but they are SO GOOD!

Пятхъдесят Шест 07.11.2006 11:36 PM

They are good. It's just that soggy, marinara soaked bread that I can't stomach. OH, and what kind of cheese?

k-krack 07.11.2006 11:44 PM

vegan bread? not to sound like an uninformed veggietarian, but what is vegan bread?

k-krack 07.11.2006 11:50 PM

ok.. narrow down a bit more.. theres flippin animal products in bread?! since when?! and what?! and... thats all the excited q's i got for now.

Norma J 07.12.2006 12:01 AM

Milk, animal fats, etc disguised as emulsifiers. I get my bread from a relatively main chain here, and that is free of animal products, so it's not greatly uncommon. BUT, I used to spend $5 a loaf for years until I found that particular bread.

Norma J 07.12.2006 12:02 AM

HAHAHAHAHA K-Krack chews with a vagina dentata?

my sandwich, baby...

acousticrock87 07.12.2006 12:19 AM

Forged in darkness from wheat harvested in hell's half acre.
Baked by Beelzebub.
Slathered with mayonnaise beaten from the evil eggs of dark chicken force-fed to dogs by the hands of a one eyed mad man.
Cheese boiled from the rancid teat of fanged cow.
Layered with 666 separate meats from an animal, which has maggots for blood.

It is the Broodwich.

Mozarella or provel (which is a cheese you can only get where I live)

pantophobia 07.12.2006 12:30 AM

at the beach right now so it subs all the time

had a Pizzaburger Sub today, a Chicken Parmesan Sub a few days ago, and soon will have a Jerk Chicken Cheesesteak

also can't beat Cheeseburger subs, Pizza Subs, Meatball Subs and so on

and once in a while, a Crab Cake sandwich, but usually you don't need all that extra bread, the Crab Cake by itself is quite filling

k-krack 07.12.2006 12:37 AM

hey Cantankerous, is THE VOID a flying luttenbachers reference? if so, rep dude.

"Yes. Dijon mustard."

acousticrock87 07.12.2006 12:47 AM

Bacon is extra

HaydenAsche 07.12.2006 12:48 AM

"Well, bacon aside. This is the best damn sandwich I've ever had."

k-krack 07.12.2006 12:48 AM

optional sunroof.

nomadicfollower 07.12.2006 09:40 PM

Mmmmm, sandwhiches.
Turkey, lettuce, tomatoes, black olives, pickles, mustard, wheat bread please. Also, portebello mushroom and cheese, yum.

sonicl 07.13.2006 03:11 AM

Good old cheddar cheese and Branston pickle between two fresh brown bread doorsteps.

It may not be original, but, hey, it's a classic.

sellouteater 07.13.2006 04:01 AM

Chicken bacon ranch with extra ranch sauce from subway

Hip Priest 07.13.2006 04:42 AM

Ciabatta bread, salted butter, grated mature cheddar cheese (Somerset Cricketer, in an ideal world), mayonaisse, red onion, fresh coriander.

I used to be a vegan for 6 years and grew very tired of looking at every ingredient list on food packaging to see what complied with veganism.
I also took vitamin b12 supplements regularly. Some nuts and legumes have b12, but it's difficult to estimate how many to eat at one time.

Now, I sometimes eat fish.
No red meat or chicken.

My fav sandwich is:
Ciabatta bread, margarine, ementalle/mozerella cheese, lettace, sliced boiled egg, sliced tomato, salt & pepper.
