How should I paint my face for the 11th annual Gathering of the Juggalos?
![]() My friends, and I are heading out tonight, and I'm considering picking up some face paint before we go. I was thinking of doing something black metal-esque with blackened eyes, and an inverted cross in the middle of my forehead. I certainly don't want to be one of the many painted up just like J, or Shaggy. However, due to many factors, I may avoid painting up altogether. For one, The Gathering lasts 4 days (5, if you count the in-line party beforehand) and I don't necessarily want to be painting my face every morning when I'm partying and camping for the majority of a week. Also, the weather is supposed be scalding, and all it'd take was one swipe of my brow to fuck all of my hard work up. Either way, despite the general hatred for anything Psychopathic Records related on SYG, I just thought I'd mention the fact that I was going, allow you guys to check out who's playing (since I know there are more than a few acts that definitely appeal to some of you), and of course, bring more wicked clown debate to SYG. Here's the official infomercial that I doubt any of you will check out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o0xewi_Gdc8 It lists even more of the artists performing, and some of the activities provided. WHOOP, WHOOP!! :D |
Whoa, Tom Green.
|
Don't forget to mention your beloved (hed) p.e.
I've never really liked 'em all that much though, I probably won't even watch their set. But, my friend talked to Tom Green on Twitter, and apparently he's going to be out in the crowd, partying, the whole time. So hopefully I'll be able to seek him out to say, "Sup?". |
If I had known about Tom Green, I would've went to this, just for Tom Green.
|
anyway have fun |

haha, ditto. Tom kicks ass. |
hed pe still exists? for real?

Hard to believe as it is, apparently But who cares? Vanilla Ice will be there! I'm SO going!!!! (yeah, right) |
the best underground music. Fucking lulz.
I suggest you open you're jugular and paint your face with your blood. Or just stop listening to shit ass music. kthxbai |

|
you should paint Esham's dick going into your mouth.
|
|
So, I hear they really fucked up that Tila Tequila chick, huh?!
|
please tell me you took NR's suggestion....
and....did you participate in throwing shit at Tila?> |

I could understand not appreciating ICP. They have a very, very, specific niche that many seem to hate. But honestly, aside from your distaste for any artsist on Psychopathic , are you really going to say that there were no worthy artists on the roster for the event? You're really denying some true talent. I MEAN C'MON! You've got Red + Meth, Awesome Dre, Warren G, Brotha Lynch Hung, Naughty by Nature, Tech N9ne, Afroman, Mastamind, Tom Green, Dayton Family, Spice 1, Above The Law, Lil Wyte, Coolio, Gallagher, Lil Kim, King Gordy, and even motherfucking Tone Loc, and Rob Base! Are you just not that much of a hip-hop fan, or what? Quote:
Yes, just as I expected. I don't know what ICP were thinking. Some Juggalos really love some shitty bands, but not even they are willing to stomach Tila Tequila. Quote:
She went on the exact same time as Tom Green, so I wasn't able to make it for that one, but I heard about it immediately after. Apparently she had not only had actual shit thrown at her, but someone chucked a brick at her face. It's normal for Juggalos to get bored and start throwing Faygos, water bottles, and empty beer cans amongst ourselves at shows. Like moshing, it may seem malicious at first, but it's all in good fun; aside from the occasional asshole. It was honestly the craziest party I've ever been to. Endless amounts of drugs to satisfy even the hungriest of cravings (weed, mollies, boomers, monkeys, meth, black tar, liquor, acid), tons of hot girls walking around topless (yes, some Juggalettes are nasty...but you have no idea how hot some of them are), gothic porn-star strippers (http://girlsofwolfpac.com/wp/ ), carnival rides, wasabi snorting/milk chugging/drunken-roller skating-blindfolded-boxing competitions (so much vomit!!! :)), wet t-shirt contests (hosted by Ron Jeremy + The Dayton Family), the hottest gothic slut getting completely naked, and fingering herself on stage until she squirted all over the place multiple times as her talent for Miss Juggalette 2010, and that's not even mentioning all of the outstanding hip-hop artists, comedians, present! There was just so much going on - you honestly wouldn't need to be much of a Juggalo to have a good time there. It was insanely liberating, and relieving. I truly had the time of my life. |
![]() She had a great time too!! |
did you or did you not paint Esham's dick on your face?
|
Dude, Adam, you've gotta seem Tom's new, live act! He's got this really disgruntled quality about his derangement now, that he never had in the height of his popularity. It's really helped his comedy adapt to his age.

I didn't paint up at all. Either way, Esham wasn't scheduled (I think him and J might have some weird beef atm), and I missed Mastamind! :( |
Esham & VJ beefing? Weird.
Anyway, did you catch Meth & Red? Or Lil Kim? Coolio sucks. Was Tom Green hilarious? |
Quote:
Yeah they've done it before, but they usually just go back to being homies eventually.. It's funny 'cause on Esham's Tongues there's a track featuring J, as well as a verse that disses him on a later track. Quote:
Saw Red + Meth. They were amazing, but I was honestly a little offended that they didn't seem to recognize exactly what they were booked for. They kept on giving the crowd shoutouts as if we were all from Illinois, as opposed to a festival in the middle of nowhere, with fans from all around the world. I wasn't able to catch Lil Kim or Coolio though. |
OR HED PE?
Or "sid of slipknot"?! |
![]() Tom Green's autograph. |
Quote:
holy shit. this sounds like a real circus. |
Ha, I didn't even mention the freak show tents!
|
Can't believe people threw shit at Meth. I mean.. yeah, Tila Tequila is a piece of shit on many levels, but Method Man doesn't deserve that
|
You don't throw rocks at wu-tang
|
I was thinking about the Lil Kim thing the other day, cuz I was listening to IT WAS WRITTEN and thinking about the old Kim vs Fox Brown thing... and I can't speak for either of them NOW but Foxy was amazing back then. Her voice was a knockout, but she had some incredible verses like on both "Affirmative Action" and the 'remix' as well. She was pretty awesome.

The way they were acting on stage, completely showing no respect for the crowd they were playing - he's lucky he got away with just that. They had no idea where they were playing, and kept giving shout outs to Illinois even though 99% of the audience were from other states, and some even from other countries. They even went as far as to diss Michigan, ICP's home state. Despite that, the Juggalos started the "Fa-mi-ly, fa-mi-ly" chant - still willing to accept the hip-hop legends. To which, Redman replied "FUCK FAMILY, THIS IS ABOUT HIP-HOP!" They were sent a DVD copy of "A Family Underground" (a documentary on the gathering of '09) prior to the show, and J communicated directly to their manager, explaining the event. Still, they neglected to give a damn. I love Red & Meth as much as the next guy...but they fucked up. I personally can't believe that Meth is suing ICP over it all. How weak is that? |
I just got Big Money Rustla$!
|
Quote:
I'm sure Meth & Red have no better way to spend their time than to pop in an ICP docu. hahaha |
Yeah, like collaborate with Fred Durst again, or record a sequel to How High!
|

They should have at least had the respect to acknowledge the event that they were co-headlining. I'm so tired of ICP getting a complete lack of respect in the game. They've paid just as many dues as any other artist in the game, and look at the empire beneath them! Here's an interview with ICP on the whole subject of Tila and Meth: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BHkO-B44cQc Method didn't deserve to have shit chucked at him, and 98% of the crowd literally screamed "WHAT THE FUCK?" as soon as it happened (myself included). But still, they could have at least acknowledged where they were, and who they were playing for. EDIT: LINK FIXED |
Quote:
I don't know about that, but the Meth, Rae Ghost album from this year was stellar. They should focus on that. Red... well... I don't know. |
Quote:
ah, I was just trolling ya bro-bro. I understand what yr saying. |
Quote:
That's pretty...weird. I dont know these guys at all, but you'd think these sorts of ideas would be apart of the "job" or reality or whatever. Do you have any pictures ??? |
Joe, did that ICP/Radiohead story (from the other thread) happen? If so, that's AWESOME. I dislike Thom Yorke very much. He's almost as bad as that Deer Hunter guy..
From VIOLENT J'S GATHERING REPORT... While that was going on, on the other side of town Tila Tequila was getting beamed with garbage. I don’t understand that shit. I wish that shit didn’t happen to her. We said it in our seminar, please don’t throw shit at her. I wasn’t there but I heard. Number 1 she didn’t deserve to be physically hurt. If you're out there in the crowd tryna physically hurt somebody on one of our stages I consider you an enemy sniper tryna fuck up our event. I can understand booing someone you don’t like, or don’t wanna see. Even throwing some shit around. But why would you make somebody a target and try to hurt them? Especially somebody trying to entertain you? That’s it. That’s my stale ass speech. I’m pissed off because we’re getting’ sued for millions and just like everybody else out there we ain't got no fuckin’ money. ... I was just finishin’ getting ready for our show when Corp told me Method Man and Red Man want to talk to us and we went on there bus thinking we were about to hug it up and prop each other up and all that but instead we got schooled by Meth. He said “Look at my face man, I gotta go home to my little girl like this man, I’m bleedin' man, outta my face“. Red Man walked by us without looking at us and said “Man that show was wack“. Meth continued “Man what the fuck you got us on man? We did this shit for you man and somebody bust me in the fuckin’ face with a full can of beer. I feel like you guys are responsible for this shit. I think you guys should say something out there, go out there and fix that.“ I said “Man we’re sorry that happened to you and we apologize for it.“ Then he gave us a half hearted dap and we left. That was all we said. I tried not to let that bum me out before this extra special show and thankfully I was able to forget it completely once I stepped out there with my brother Shaggy. ............... Interesting stuff, except the part where he says they don't have any money. Both dudes in ICP are multimillionaires. I remember reading they made around $10million a year PROFIT some years... But... Method Man/Redman sound lame as hell -- "I feel like you guys are responsible"? Like Joe said -- do they KNOW who ICP are?! "We did this for you"? No, you did it for money. What's a "half hearted dap"? |
Quote:
Exactly! I mean, O.D.B. performed at the 5th annual Gathering, so you'd think they'd at least have somewhat of a clue of what was up. It really was a harsh bitch-slap in the face, considering how excited most people at this year's Gathering were to see them. If I reflect on it for more than 30 seconds, I'm kind of glad the can was chucked. According to Shaggy 2 Dope, the cut was very minor; and aren't Meth & Red supposed to be hard-ass thugs? Other artists have gotten hit with shit before at previous Gatherings/Psychopathic shows (ICP included), but they don't whine about it, they just chuck shit back - and the crowd LOVES them for it. Seems to me like both superstars may have been long overdue for a reality check. Sadly, no. I don't have any pics. :( Quote:
Yes, according to Violent J's autobiography, Behind the Paint, their manager slugged Thom Yorke right in the face for repeatedly trying to barge into their dressing room while they were painting up. I'm not exactly sure why Yorke was so persistent with getting in (I highly doubt Yorke is a raging fan). From J's telling of the story, Thom seemed infuriated by the fact that neither ICP, nor their manager had any idea who he was. That probably had a lot to do with it. |
ODB was down with the Clowns. They were on his TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS album.
That Behind The Paint book was actually really entertaining. Dr. Eug, are you a fan of SPANKMASTER by Kool Keith BTW? Esham's on that. |
Quote:
A. Yup, and he was on The Amazing Jeckel Bros! B. It's wicked. C. Nope, I haven't heard Spankmaster. I've only checked out a few Kool Keith albums in my lifetime (PARTY FOUL! I know, I know). I do know that Kool Keith spits a few verses on Esham's album, Tongues, though. |
