always turning around. it hurts my back rather quickly (any chair does, even the ergonomical blah blah ones)

The dog is plastic. "Nipper" of RCA Victor fame.
I helped to build those browsers for my friend's record store years and years ago. When the store closed, I got to take two of them home.

I have two original Miller shell chairs that I paid zero dollars for. I love those as well.

I knew the dog was plastic but I didn't realize he was Nipper but now that you mention it I see it. I like how the browsers have and upper and lower level for use. I'm guessing though that that's not your full collection.
