Noise set for No Fun Fest in Brooklyn. Lee was at the Cannes Film Festival with his family (who are in a film) so Bill Nace sat in for him on guitar.

I was at the show when they recorded SYR8. I like the crazy improvisation sets alright... but there is nothing like an uber structured Sonic Youth to me.

I think SYR1 and SYR8 are pretty much tied as my favorites. Maybe SYR2 as well.

one thing that i remember about this show is Thurston cut his hand and was bleeding all over (putting blood into noise).
