el chupacabra is knocking on my window

hellleeeew.
what is the scariest thing you have ever seen?
i would have to say those fucking flying monkeys in the wizard of oz and praying mantises.

youthoftomorrow 07.14.2006 12:22 AM

no, it is indeed el chupacabra, it is irregular. chingao, i am a fluent speaker of spanish.

acousticrock87 07.14.2006 12:23 AM

One time I got up in the middle of the night to get some water or something, still kind of sleepy, opened my door, and there was a blue orb floating in the middle of the air. I just froze, cause I knew I was awake and didn't know what the hell it was. It was moving a little, too. And completely silent.

Unfortunately, it turned out to be a blue flame visible through a crack in the door to the furnace thing across the hall, so...Not as great of a story as it coulda been.

acousticrock87 07.14.2006 02:14 AM

All threads inevitabley lead to Zorak.

nicfit 07.14.2006 02:16 AM

i know. they are the fucking root of all evil. they have spikes on their hands too.

acousticrock87 07.14.2006 02:20 AM

Black Widows do that too. We had tons of them at my old house.

I can't find a picture of the SGC2C Black Widow though...

Cantankerous 07.14.2006 02:22 AM

i had wanted a tattoo of a black widow for awhile. they are less scary than mantises.

acousticrock87 07.14.2006 02:23 AM

But they're way more painful. I know people who've been bitten. I'll take the Mantis.

nicfit 07.14.2006 02:26 AM

now,if they only were 6 feet tall,i would be worried...but they're little and eventually harmless for human beings....by the way, once i went to a gig in an ex-fortress surrounded by crumbling medieval walls,i went to pee behind a corner and i was whistling happily, when i turn towards the wall and like 5 centimeters away from my face there was a scorpion on the wall.now THAT was scary...also beacause scorpions are definitely not on the "local fauna"list...i'll post a pic in a few minutes,if i can find it...

acousticrock87 07.14.2006 02:27 AM

Wait, one more time. I didn't get all that.

Scorpians are scary as hell.

Cantankerous 07.14.2006 02:32 AM

BOO.

nicfit 07.14.2006 02:43 AM

what the hell happened to my post???deletion time....here is the pic of that scorpion,anyway..

Tokolosh 07.14.2006 04:34 AM

I once got chased through a cemetary at dusk and to this day I still don't know who or what it was.
All I remember was that a very tall figure dressed in black, stalked me for a while without trying to be noticed and then suddenly charged in my direction.

I was 11 and taking my dog for a walk.

nicfit 07.14.2006 04:36 AM

damn....scary!how did the dog react?

Fear? I've had a vision or dream so vivid in my childhood, to this day it still raises questions about reality for me. It's late, maybe 2-3am. Everyone's asleep, I'm maybe 4 or 5 years old. I wake up, need to pee. I have to go through the living room. I do so, The front door opens, the gate is still locked, but there's a figure standing there, hazy and indistinct, the edges blurry, like ink bleeding on paper, and continually shifting. I can hear it call out to me in my mind. It's asking me to open the gates and let it in. It sounds strangely familiar, like someone I know intimately, but by 5 I was pretty sure who the people I knew were... And this guy... So I just froze there, and even then, I can't remember clearly what happened. I think after some time, with me just standing there and unable to react properly, it just floated away, the front door closing again on its own accord. I think it had to be invited in...

nicfit 07.14.2006 11:56 AM

i'm afraid of americans.
before getting bashed by americans,it's just a david bowie's quote that came to my mind reading the above post..i love you guys.

Lurker 07.14.2006 02:41 PM

That's pretty crazy. I love stories like that. I've had dreams that freaked me out when I was about that age that I wasn't sure about for a while. Like one where I saw something that scared me (something stupid, like a flying fork) and my parents came in but they were different people. I knew it was still them, but they looked completely different. It all had a very real feel to it, and it haunted me for a long time after that.

Alex's Trip 07.14.2006 05:05 PM

My mom is sooo mean. She called me out of my room and showed me this blackwidow that was right next to me on the wall! I hate spiders so much! I can't stand them!

Danny Himself 07.14.2006 05:09 PM

I am scared of moths. I have an overwhelming fear of them. Once I saw one trying to get inside my house- it was just flying at the window. It was a big-ass motha too... like... a small bird.

acousticrock87 07.14.2006 05:21 PM

I'm afraid of centipedes. We get them occasionally in our house. They're fast as shit, and poisonous.

Although, I had a pet millipede for a few years, and I loved that thing. But they're slow and harmless.
