Can't say it won't cross my mind if they legalize. |
Now for the inevitable highly-funded, professional "sounding" backlash in all media (print, TV, radio, web and even film) about how weed is the devil and worse than assraping the queen while she pisses into her grandson's earhole.
wait and see. It will be on every news outlet, every news source. This is how they WORK. someone high up makes a TON of money allowing weed to be smuggled throughout the USA. the same bastards that make that money make the cocaine money the heroin money etc. It is estimated , and conservatively, that the city of NY alone consumes 4 TONS of marihuana A DAY. A FUCKING DAY. someone is making a lot of money off it and decriminilization is gonna shock their pocketbooks. get ready for al out propaganda war. |
yep, all the old lies will be screamed through mass media outlets. But the masses are starting to wise up.
|
for those who are interested in this particularly subject, i highly recommend watching a documentary called "The Union". 2 hours of pure weed facts
here in google video http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...14414651731007 a torrent http://torcache.com/torrent/15281D7B...ED2E10.torrent a high quality torrent (.ISO) http://torcache.com/torrent/A1BD8D28...9E8530.torrent the oficial website http://www.theunionmovie.com/ |
This is very, very good news.
Medical marijuana is legal in Michigan, and it's legal to have up to an ounce within your house in Detroit without a card. If this passes (which I highly predict it will), I can only assume that a similar proposition for my beloved mitten is right around the corner. |

good movie. thanks for sharing. |
this would be awesome, but i doubt the narcogovernment will allow it.
where will the CIA get their cash now? but if it passes, all the more reason to go to california on vacation. fucking a-- a spliff at the beach is fucking heaven. |
Quote:
mixing tobacco in with marijuana has to be one of the dumbest things on the planet. sacrilege. you must be european. we don't allow that shit in america. :D |
Quote:
"i must european"? where did you get the notion that spliff means tobacco? it's just a fucking rolled joint. unless i dont know, regional dialects? or are you talking about hash (hash is nice too!) let me enjoy my dream you fucking killjoy, ha ha ha i haven't smoked a joint at the beach for AGES. best place ever. |
spliff is not tobacco!!!!
|
you two are not correct. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=spliff
spliff = joint with tobacco joint = pure marijuana only after years of misuse by americans: "the term has been adopted to mean any high quality or well-rolled marajuana joint" |
Quote:
i've known spliffs since pre-internet days, but if we're quoting online sources, here's wikipedia on "joint" (which it lists as a synomym of spliff) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spliff_(disambiguation) takes you to: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joint_(cannabis) [...] Spliff The term spliff is a West Indian word of Jamaican English origin,[13] but has spread to several western countries, particularly Britain, Ireland, Europe, Canada and the United States. Its precise etymology is unknown, but it is attested as early as 1936. While Jamaican spliffs are generally conical in shape, those elsewhere tend to be cylindrical and of varying lengths. "Spliff" can also refer to various styles of cigarette rolled with a mixture of hashish and tobacco.[7] -------- its origin is jamaican, not the 12 year olds who write the urban dictionary THIS is a spliff ![]() see? spliff. the fact that europeans smoke HASH (not weed) mixed with tobacco is another story, which you're failing to grasp. it's not weed. it's hash. which won't burn very well on its own (it will vaporize nicely though), so it needs tobacco or something to help it go. okay. we agree on prop 19 though :p |
It doesn't matter if it is Hash or Weed, adding tobacco to it makes it a spliff. Pure marijuana is a joint. There is no way to know from a picture if Bob is smoking a joint or spliff.
We very much agree on Prop 19 though. And about smoking on the beach. |
every Rasta I ever knew rolled their shit with tobacco.

Which is why they are called a spliff and not a joint. |
a reefer is what a thin J was called back in the roaring 20's Harlem era.
Redd Fox and Malcolm X both used to sell reefers in the nightclubs in harlem. |
All the pretentious poseurs will now stop smoking it as it won't be seen as a form of rebellion against "The Man".

More for us!

a spliff does not imply a mixture, if all the whities in the world use it that way it doesn't matter, in jamaica any rolled marijuana can be called a spliff
|
ha ha-- somebody just got called whitie.
anyway, i leave you potheads to sort out the linguistics i just want to be able to walk into a shop, pick a nice bud of good provenance, take it to the beach and smoke it with my girl without fear of prosecution. is that too much to ask? |

I have a link proving my point. What do you have? Nothing but a smart mouth so far. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=spliff spliff = has added tobacco joint = pure marijuana |

you must european! :p |

occasionally. :p |
Urban dictionary really isn't in the echelons of scholarly correctness, you know that? If I could just refer you to this entry, which has been up for probably 4 years now, in spite of my mate only doing it so he could link it to a forum to support his gig because he thought it'd be funny (which it was).

you have a link to a site where anyone in the world can define words, from a country they've probably never been to, whether or not they have any clue the top definition spells "marajuana" like this. the number 2 definition, makes absolutely no reference to tobacco a joint; specifically, a cone shaped joint that is somewhat large and impressively rolled. (when presenting) el spliff! you call this proof?? really? you must be american to think that the definition of a foreign word actually changes when you misuse it |
hevusa I think you need a spliff, chill out! Its just a fuckin word!
I've just moved to san diego for 10 months so really hope this goes through |

There goes your second chance... and still just your hot air. Not surprising when you are talking out of your ass. Quote:
I don't smoke tobacco, so I will pass. Which is also what I hope Prop 19 does. Never fear, I made some $$$ today so I am about to enjoy a newly purchased bag. |
is it so that everyone will be too high to realize what a shite state of affairs the state is in?

Late last week, DEA and FBI agents raided five medical marijuana dispensaries in Nevada. In July, DEA agents raided the home of 65-year-old Mendocino County, California, grower Joy Greenfield and confiscated plants, money, and her computer. Also in July, DEA agents raided the home of a couple in Michigan who were licensed by the state to use marijuana, as well as three medical marijuana dispensaries in San Diego. In January and February of this year, the DEA raided two medical marijuana research labs in Colorado. In all of the above cases, the DEA and the U.S. Attorneys’ offices issued no press releases and held no press conferences. The websites for DEA and the U.S. Attorneys’ offices in Detroit, Denver, Northern California, and Los Angeles (which also handles cases in Nevada) make no mention of the above dispensary raids, but do feature news releases for raids, arrests, and investigations involving harder drugs, as well marijuana trafficking, which is illegal in all states.
