Least Favorite Wu-Tang member
This thread is... semi-redundant... but I always love a good Wu discussion.
My least favorite is Masta Killa... I feel like he just wrecks the momentum on alot of group tracks with his weak delivery and redundant flow.... it just seems like the presence of Deck and GZA kind of make him pointless.... I must say, I still haven't heard No Said Date and I know people love that... but I can't think of a clan verse (other than protect ya neck) or a guest verse by Masta Killa that impressed me.... For the record: I enjoy U-God's verses... He's a good addition to a posse song... He just doesn't hold up as well solo, just like Deck. |
The one who is a little less black.
|
Masta Killa was incredible on "Da Mystery of Chessboxin'."
U-God is uniformly underwhelming. |
the polls aren't working lately. But since U-God exists ,I don't think a poll is necessary.
|
also, Masta Killa's NO SAID DATE is definitely in my Top 10 Wu-solo albums of all time. It's amazing.
|
Cappadonna.
|
Def. U-God.
|
U-God.
For favorite it's tight. Masta Killa and ODB are both spectacular. Tomorrow Raekwon is in town presenting the new album: Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang that's supposed to be a huge diss against RZA, wish I wasn't missing it :( |
U-God...
It's nearly U-Nanimous! |

did you ever hear The Pillage? Or fucking Ironman? Or Wu-Tang Forever? |
u-god prolly. for some reason the polls dont seem to work anymore on here.
|
U-God sucks. He's good for a HALF A VERSE! seriously. Every other member has at least made ONE good solo album. U-God has not made a good solo album. Trust me. I've checked. I even bought U-Godzilla's HILLSIDE SCRAMBLERS for crying out loud!
|
I like U-god.... and I'm not joking.
I thought Golden Arms Redemption was an alright album. |
Don't like U-God's voice, his flow, his albums, nothing...
I did watch the documentary with him and he just bitched and bitched and bitched. |
U-God is U-Seless.

I actually liked the documentary he did. It was the one thing I liked that he made. Haha. Golden Arms Redemption is definitely his best album. But it's not very good. So that's not sayign much. @veiwtiful -- you really need to get NO SAID DATE. Trust me on this one. You will change your vote in this topic. |
amusing thread.
Method Man has the best flow of all time, so it can't be him. ODB was a superstar. RZA & GZA are so cool that it's easy to forget they're human. U-God is automatically forgiven cuz of "raw i'mma give it to ya, with no trivia/raw like cocaine straight from bolivia". gotta be Cappadonna then. |
did you really have to ask? time to lose cool pts..
i listen to rap everyday. when i decide to take a break from it, i listen to jazz, R&B or Sonic Youth. that's all i listen to, i guess. i'm weird. (might've been a rhetorical question but whatever) |

i'm thrilled. |

yr like me. Kind of. Though I do listen to more. But yeah it's like 75% hip hop and 25% other stuff. |
u-god is so wack he even follows me on twitter!

Ya! Masta Killa's verse on Triumph destroys and is icing on the cake. but yeah poor U-God... don't like him that much |
while U-God seems unanimous I'm picking Method Man because I find his style and appeal about as terrible as Ice Cube and yet he contributes WAY too much to Wu-Tang and related projects, where as U-God while definitely one of the worst, contributes a relatively proportionate amount of garbage to his skill set, whereas Method Man just doesn't know when to quit.. But I'm into the Black Knights and the West Coast Wu yo, I need beats I can boogie to and brothas not to spend so much time talking and story telliing and actually do some rapping and heaven help them, sing a chorus or two ;)

This is a tough one. For instance, I think Method Man has one of the best voices and flows in hip hop, but he has done some stupid shit on his time, like the Limp Bizkit collaboration. I suppose U-God is the least interesting and least essential, but I have nothing against him. Out of the four or five more prolific and spotlighted members, Ghostface is the one whose style I am least into, but I still love Supreme Clientele and Fishscale. Inspectah is most overlooked, and least prolific but his verses kill.
And I don't really think Cappadonna counts from a purist perspective. Besides, he's made great contributions to the full group albums. He shouldn't be eligible for a poll like this, however. U-god. Guess it has to be U-god. Sorry, U-god. |
