Any good movies I should download? haha... I really liked Memento... haha... :) Thanks!

Alex's Trip 07.16.2006 11:25 AM

Wes Anderson movies:

The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou
The Royal Tenenbaums
Rushmore
Bottle Rocket

or Eraserhead

alyasa 07.16.2006 11:27 AM

Ahh, Eraserhead... Rushmore was sick. Lost In Translation made me cry... :)

finding nobody 07.16.2006 12:39 PM

saving silverman.
have you seen this movie dude?

alyasa 07.16.2006 12:45 PM

Nope, never heard of it until you mentioned it... The IMDB entry doesn't seem too promising... Is Jason Biggs that funny? :o

finding nobody 07.16.2006 12:47 PM

jason biggs is just a goof in the movie.
steve zahn and jack black are the funny ones in this movie

alyasa 07.16.2006 12:54 PM

Is Nacho Libre any good? :)

finding nobody 07.16.2006 12:55 PM

i haven't seen it.. have you?

alyasa 07.16.2006 12:58 PM

Only the trailers and adverts... It seems kinda weirdish... I've only seen Jack Black in King Kong... haha... If he's anything like Chris Farley, it should be hilarious...

Cantankerous 07.16.2006 01:02 PM

reefer madness

alyasa 07.16.2006 01:12 PM

Jack Black... Jack Black... Jack Black...

Cantankerous 07.16.2006 01:23 PM

No. It sucked.

LifeDistortion 07.16.2006 01:44 PM

Nacho Libre was better then "Napoleon Dynamite", if you liked that movie you like "Nacho", I think "ND", is quite over-rated.

Alex's Trip 07.16.2006 01:46 PM

I liked Napoleon Dynamite way ore than Nacho Libre.

Tokolosh 07.16.2006 01:50 PM

Butterfly effect is supposed to be good. So I've heard.
Going to rent it out soon.

alyasa 07.16.2006 01:51 PM

Napoleon Dynamite was kind of endearing, forgettable though... I can't remember one scene from that movie, except for the dancing on the stage part, and even then as if from some hazy, childhood dream...

EDIT: Thank you for reefer madness...

If you liked Memento, get Following. By the same guy. It was sort of his preparation for that movie, and IMO even better. The movies are nothing alike, aside from the anachronism, so it won't be repetitive. And it was made on almost literally no budget. It's black and white to save on lighting, they had no filming license, and the actors I don't think were even paid since they all had day jobs.

I heard about that one, but haven't seen it. About a stalker right?

acousticrock87 07.16.2006 02:52 PM

Sort of. He isn't a stalker, he's a follower. As a rule he never follows the same person twice, just for like a day cause he's interested in watching how people live, like a hobby. The movie is about what happens when he breaks that rule once.

I'm putting on netflix...

HaydenAsche 07.16.2006 07:03 PM

My favorite movies:
The Big Lebowski
Office Space
Bottle Rocket
Rushmore
ZOOLANDER

Alex's Trip 07.16.2006 07:10 PM

Definitely Zoolander. Best Ben Stiller movie!

finding nobody 07.17.2006 12:59 AM

I seen zoolander in theaters a looooong time ago.. I wasnt digging it

acousticrock87 07.17.2006 01:10 AM

I liked Zoolander, but I liked Heavyweights more. On a completely serious level, that was a really good performance.

krastian 07.17.2006 01:22 AM

Heavyweights???? With all the fat kids? My friend and I rented that back in the day and just took bong rips laughing at it.

acousticrock87 07.17.2006 01:36 AM

Haha it was one of those movies that tried to be stupid. Ben Stiller was hilarious in it, partly just because it was Ben Stiller in that movie.

krastian 07.17.2006 01:41 AM

Shit, I can't even remember if he was in it or not.

acousticrock87 07.17.2006 01:51 AM

Kenan Thompson, too.

krastian 07.17.2006 01:56 AM

Holy shit....that Kenan guy gets on my nerves though. My little sister used to watch him on that All That show.

Speaking of Stiller movies, "The Cable Guy" is a very under-appreciated movie.

Tokolosh 07.17.2006 02:21 PM

I watched this one lately and I really enjoyed it.
There are some hilariously funny scenes and it's beautifully shot.
