hi everybody, i am new in guitar tunings
everybody talks about dropped d tuning, cause nirvana played many songs in that tuning

so i tune my guitar to
D-A-d-g-h-e
is this correct ?
the second d is the same than the first or ?
looks like i can take D-A-d in one fret to get the barree powerchord?

You are correct on all of this.....except for the "h".

play some open tunings. they're great

look up tunings on wikipedia and they'll give you a list

I've been particularly fond of C A# D# A C C, a tuning I invented two or three years ago.

I also really love open F. C F C F A F. It's used on Led Zeppelin's Bron-Y-Aur Stomp, and it's just a wonderful open tuning. It's nice for slide, and I like to play "Answering Machine" by the Replacements on it. (the best tab out there for which is in open A, but I find it works in the lower key of open F very well too)

The H string has such a bonecrushing timbre.

H is B in some european schools of music, because of the similarity of the letter b to the flat symbol.

to sound like sonic youth you just need a jag and a groan and to pace yourself for a song which lasts another 3 minutes after people would think it should end.

Timeline of Events
November 1992
After a long tour with Nirvana, Krist goes home to Aberdeen to enjoy what he called "the most amazing Thanksgiving dinner I've had all year."

December 24,1992
Novoselic continues to stay in Aberdeen throughout Christmastime, making an appearance as a drunken Santa at the local shopping mall, and then later celebrating Christmas eve on his roof in the nude.

December 25, 1992
Krist recieves a razorblade and an old newspaper for Christmas, he cried tears of joy.

December 31, 1992 - January 1, 1993
Krist gets extremely drunk and spends the next day regretting getting drunk the night before.

February - May 1993
Novoselic goes on tour once again, this time singing backing vocals on Smells Like Teen Spirit upon Kurt's insistence.

April 20, 1993
Krist starts his own solo project, a 200-song catalogue known as the "Foo Fighters" project. It is unknown what became of all these songs.

June 27, 1993
Krist officially decides to quit Nirvana, claiming Dave Grohl tried to molest him. Grohl stands by his statement that Novoselic consented. Kurt managed to keep this news from becoming public.

July 2, 1993
Krist is reportedly seen at a corner store, purchasing a bag of Dorito's brand tortilla chips, ranch flavored. He signs one fan an autograph, which said "Call me sometime, sugartits." This was the last time anyone saw Krist alive.

i found this tabulature.

it says if i put the finger in the 10 fret of my E i get the note D
then i keep the finger holding at the 10 fret and tune it to E on my guitar tuner
then i have D is this right ? ( i talk about the hightest bass side of my guitar )

next i need to replace my A with a D#,(second bass side )
i look at the picture again, wit the finger in the 6 fret and tune it on my guitar tunder to A...
and so on

so tune it to eadgbe with putting the finger in the right frets ( like in the picture shown )

is that correct ?

I suck so badly at guitar that open tunings save my life. Right now though I think mine is at C#-F#-F#-F# and then the last two are unknown.

I should probably stick to bass

I tune my telecaster down two full steps. Brutal.

I had to do that once when I accidentally put heavy gage strings on there and it nearly bowed the neck. I hear Josh Homme uses Standard C tuning too.
