My friend had a venus fly trap. It was really new and he could put his finger in it, and it didn't hurt, in fact it felt like someone trying to bite you with marshmellows for teeth.

Yeah I guess it does sound a little harsh... but for some reason [which I've never been able to pinpoint] I'm not a great lover of flowers... I do like cacti though.
In fact one of the most beautiful sights that I've ever seen was in the Joshua Tree national park after a rare downpour when all of the cacti started flowering simultaneously...
