Confession time

Music that you find yourself liking and singing along to in the comfort of your living room but no one knows about.I want genuine embarassement on this thread and not 'Oh i hate that pop shit and Suede' because both pop and Suede(up till coming up) rule. One that i never confessed before but i enjoyed in my own privacy this morning:
Tin Machine-Baby Universal
*dodges a projectile*

Pookie 07.28.2006 09:03 AM

Nope. I only like cool music.

Ha! Ha! Ha!

Back on topic, and without embarrassment -

I love the Counting Crows' first two albums. LOVE THEM. Ordinarily I'm not a lyrics person, but Adam Duritz is a linguistic genius. And his voice rules.

porkmarras 07.28.2006 09:18 AM

The embarrassment word i had to put there because it unlocks facts that are trapped into a 'cool' music listener's mind. It's a psychological trick that i'm sure is used in a war.

porkmarras 07.28.2006 09:18 AM

I enjoyed a U2 song once.Do i deserve a slap?

sonicl 07.28.2006 09:19 AM

I went to see Shania Twain with my girlfriend and enjoyed it so much that I want to go again.

Is that the sort of thing you want, Porkie?

Pookie 07.28.2006 09:20 AM

No, you shouldn't be embarrassed by any music you like.

Luckily, I only like cool music.

if we all liked the same music how boring the world would be.

Fuckin' A.

porkmarras 07.28.2006 09:25 AM

Spooky indeed as i read that post and tried to rep Fishmonkey in some way.A dead cert inspiration for this thread.

fishmonkey 07.28.2006 09:32 AM

i have been know to have a bop round the kitchen to the first Razorlight album once or twice while i'm doing the dishes, its my housemates fault, he brainwashed me with it for months..now the new albums out and he's not so keen so i reckon it will pass with me soon enough.

oh yeah, and i used to have a thing for The Vines... that went very quickly.

then i love loads of quirky shit but its not very embarrassing, Karen Carpenters voice make me weak at the knees every single time. i love that girl so much.

cheers for the recognition Truch and Pork i am a bit "shoot yr mouth off" sometimes but i assure you i have only one mouth and two ears which only means i listen twice as much as i speak.

EMMAh 07.28.2006 09:33 AM

I really like that Sam Roberts song, can't think of what it's called though.

porkmarras 07.28.2006 09:35 AM

Sam Roberts? He must be really uncool because i have never heard of his name before.

porkmarras 07.28.2006 09:35 AM

Darkside

porkmarras 07.28.2006 09:37 AM

Perhaps i should have called this thread 'Confession time/Do you really judge people because of what they listen to?'.

jon boy 07.28.2006 09:56 AM

Toilet & Bowels 07.28.2006 10:07 AM

I have her Greatest Hits album. Only country music I like. (Along with a few older songs that remind me of camping as a young lass.. )

that suggests brain injury more than anything.

porkmarras 07.28.2006 10:34 AM

Daphne and Celeste Rulez man!!!

Rob Instigator 07.28.2006 10:35 AM

if we all liked the same music we could share it and rock out in plenitude.
There would be notihing at all wrong with everyone liking the same music. that is not to say that all music should sound lie that, but universal apeal is a very powerful thing.

Most everyone loves Beethoven's 9th Symphony, all cultures and races and ethnicities and nationalities and religions, and that actually deepens the import and value of the music in question, not lessens it.
