biggest turn off ever

"omg I'm such a nerd" - after seeing the latest Star Trek movie and because they read a Harry Potter novel a few years ago. UGH.

Discuss other turn offs such as these.

Dr. Eugene Felikson 02.13.2011 09:55 PM

Sloppily cramming an Everything Bagel w/ cream cheese into your mouth.

Not knowing how to use the tab function on Firefox.

Man hands.

Inhuman 02.13.2011 10:06 PM

Yeah, all the biggest turn-offs are about sheer ignorance and closed-mindedness IMO, similar to Derek's mention.

-"omg vegan?! That's sooooo weeeirrrddddd!"
-Uncontrolled anger
-The Barbie look:

SuperCreep 02.13.2011 11:02 PM

poor sense of humor and rude behavior.

i hung out with a chick who exhibited such turn offs. it's amazing how much less i wanted to fuck her

alteredcourse 02.14.2011 01:43 AM

God my lip hurts so much.

alteredcourse 02.14.2011 01:48 AM

And then I took it out, and there was a dull red spot. I licked it and it went away. But it kept coming back. I lick, it disappears. It grows, I lick. Eventually I just sucked at the spot. And just kept on sucking. No one would notice.

Green_mind 02.14.2011 04:19 AM

cold feet and vulgarness, (both together of course). I'd be alright with just the vulgarness or the cold feet

Green_mind 02.14.2011 04:48 AM

i'm turned off by 19 year old women. To be sure, they are often ridiculously attractive and sexually explosive, BUT, all they can seem talk about is the limited experiences of their lives, which mostly include boring and incessant stories about high school..

Find 19 year old high school dropout ladies and you won't have that problem anymore?

SONIC GAIL 02.14.2011 03:23 PM

huge egos

Glice 02.14.2011 03:29 PM

This thread makes me realise that I'm pretty easy going. Kudos to me.

I will say, I'm never going near a Mike Patton fan again. I've learnt that lesson too many times now.

the ikara cult 02.14.2011 03:51 PM

I dont think im that turned off by any particular character trait in a girl (making the assumption of physical attraction). But i have to be honest, I find a well-spoken English accent extremely unsexy. Call me an inverted snob, but the bloodflow doesnt lie.

the ikara cult 02.14.2011 03:55 PM

Oh yeah and any man who says "I just always find a limited, narrow minded personality a total turnoff in every case" is a galaxy sized liar.

meh.. those chicks just talk about even more childish shit than highschool because they weren't even mature enough to finish.. I prefer women in their 30s, they are smart, have money so they don't care about status, know what they want in the bedroom, are secure enough not to be too clingy but lonely enough to be appreciative..

SONIC GAIL 02.14.2011 04:56 PM

yeah we 30 somethins are the shit;)

Exactly. Well, apart from the being turned on constantly. I neither work in a girls' 6th form or live in an area with good architecture.

I'm not sure it's about being picky though. It's a case of realising that what's important isn't a 'banging hot body' so much as getting on with the person. I tend to get on best with lasses with little in common with me, but that's not an abiding rule.

And yes, older women. Yes.

Im well with the older women thing, always have been. Its almost a virtue unto itself, Martin Amis even wrote a book about it. I can easily separate a good body from a good face though, theres always a certain something in that which ticks your boxes at a certain time.

Ive only ever been in love with girls who have certain fundamental things in common with me (But these relationships have never worked out, so that shows how much i know), but I have had the animal stuff for plenty whose opinions i dont even know.

For me, a good voice can override quite alot of things. Give me a bit of a rasp, and i will be interested

Thinking about it, I have got a thing for regional accents (except Manc) but tend to end up in longer relationships with well-spoken posh birds, usually into classics. BUT one thing that always galls is people with accent fascism - and it tends to be well-spoken posh birds who are into classics who have accent fascism.

Just to be clear - I mean Latin and Greek scholars when I say classics. I realise some of you mightn't know what I mean.

knox 02.14.2011 05:32 PM

1 -stupidity
2- arrogance (especially when trying to cover up no 1)
3- racism, homophobia, general assholism
4- muscles
5- no sense of humour, or a common one, smiles too much
6- has to be better than me at everything
7- wanting to watch films with matt damon or jackie chan in the cinema
8- SKINNY JEANS
9- TOM CRUISE
10 - superficiality/machoism
11 - expects be to be all fragile and feminine and not burp and stuff
12- lies

If i have a regional accent i could never hack its Rotherham, i lived with two people from Rotherham for a year and its the most soul-destroying voice in the world, especially when asking if you want a cup of tea.
Sheffield is my favourite, its suggestive yet grounded. mmmmm.

Posh-bird-wise, i think theres alot of them whove gone for me just because i have quite a rough voice, but there comes a point where they want you to sound well-spoken and well-educated, and the way i speak i dont sound like either

Glice 02.14.2011 05:55 PM

And also 'Oooh...'

Edit: That's not a sexy 'oooh', by the way.

Could be worse. You could sound like a West Country yokel. Hi. I think, along with South Welsh and Brummy, it's one of the country's least sexy accents. Though I'll note I'm a fan of both Welsh and Brum accents. And a proper Wess cunnry one too, annum?
