Thanks to the 'Die Like a Rock Star' thread.

acousticrock87 08.03.2006 05:19 PM

I don't really remember...I think maybe:

That's really just the first one that comes to mind, though.

Savage Clone 08.03.2006 05:37 PM

It's the one in the front on the part of my LP browser I can see from here.

But of my own collection:

Props for New Morning! Good album. Day of the Locusts is one of my favourite Dylan songs.

That's one album cover you can recognise with your eyes closed.

Has anyone noticed that it's always labeled as a self-titled on the tape the closes the top of the CD? Why is that?

yeah, that always annoys me too, I think for a second its an ep or something. Its probably because there is no clear identification as to what the album is named except for the name of the band in the corner...

k-krack 08.03.2006 10:57 PM

isn't anything makes me hapy cos they are so dang mellow. its a shame to hear that though. nobody should have to listen to MBV sad!

it says "my bloody valentine loveless" on the spine quite clearly...?

touch me i'm sick 08.03.2006 10:58 PM

the album makes me sad, but listening to it makes me happy. i kinda like em better when you have no idea what the fuck they are saying like in lovless

k-krack 08.03.2006 11:00 PM

yeah, the thing i like about (either) instrumental albums, or albums where the vocals are basically another instrument (MBV, Sigur Ros, etc.) is that i don't concentrate on what they are saying, so i can do other things, like read, without completely distracting myself.

but Isn't Anything is really nostalgic cos i bought it coming home from toronto with friends the day after going to a metric concert, so we was all happy and blissful.

touch me i'm sick 08.03.2006 11:02 PM

i can usually read with any music.
but usually i jsut fuckin dance man

k-krack 08.03.2006 11:03 PM

well, thats a given, dude. who doesn't dance. people that have better things to do, thats who.

atari 2600 08.03.2006 11:04 PM

I swear this is the only cd that's sitting in front of me on the desk with the computer. It was left behind when I cleared away the container with all the Sonic Youth bootlegs in it when I was finishing up the live & bootleg list earlier.
Nels Cline again...this is crazy.

Also nutty of note is that later tonight Ice-T will be a guest on Conan's show & that Body Count have reformed & will be playing.

ive never listened to isnt anything because i had such a great impression put on me by loveless that i would not want to tarnish that feeling when listening to the album. I refuse to listen to or read anything my bloody valentine related just to keep that unique creative imagery i have developed, from becoming blemished by contradicting 'images'........its weird but i find the pleasure in the ignorance.
