GMKU: When weighed against the immense sucketry of Wal-Mart, Target sucks way less. Plus, Target does not allow those bell-ringers in front of their stores at Christmas time. I can't stand those bell-ringers! Big ups on that one, Target!

gmku 08.07.2006 12:47 PM

defcon4: Okay, points taken. Very good ones. Yes, I can take Target much easier, generally speaking. Still a cold-hearted faceless corporation, though.

i was just at target. i bought a pair of shoes.

defcon4 08.07.2006 12:51 PM

Thanks for the support. Now, on the home improvement front, who sucks more, Home Depot, Lowe's or Menard's? I vote Home Depot.

gmku 08.07.2006 12:53 PM

I hate them all, but probably Home Depot's the worst.

I buy T-shirts and socks there. What I hate about our local Target is that it's an anchor for a huge mall, and I hate going to the mall. They used to be easier to get to, park at, etc., before they moved to the dumbass mall.

porkmarras 08.07.2006 12:55 PM

Homebase sucks!!It does,maaaannnn!!!

defcon4 08.07.2006 12:56 PM

Home Depot killed my puppy, and Lowe's dropped lumber on my head once. Menard's has not yet done me or my family wrong. Yet

Cantankerous 08.07.2006 12:57 PM

i hate going to target in general. i think their clothes for women are atrocious.

Hip Priest 08.07.2006 12:57 PM

McDonalds
Nestle
Coca-Cola
Halifax Building Society
Somerfield
EDS
Balfour BEattie
The Government

porkmarras 08.07.2006 12:59 PM

Halifax sucks big time,maaannn!!

Hip Priest 08.07.2006 01:00 PM

Indeed they do.

'I want to pay in this cheque'
'We dont' accept cheques'
'Why?'
'We're not that kind of a bank'

?

A cold-hearted faceless corporation who takes as much advantage of the Chinese labour market as Wal-Mart, therefore adding to the misery of the forced-in-communism masses and subsidizing one of the world's largest military machines, and contributing to the forced exile of Tibetan Buddhists, and....

i was thinking starbucks. not jsut the fact that they're everyhwere. but that the coffee is watery and tasteless. also it costs a bajillion million dollars

Pookie 08.07.2006 07:42 PM

Every day I pass Starbucks on the way to work and it's full. I then pass an independent coffee shop which serves the nicest coffee and MUCH cheaper & friendlier service than Starbucks. And they are almost always empty. People are sheep.

Decimaster321 08.07.2006 11:27 PM

The companies which make tons of money off selling tons of corperate products with the image of che own. a lot.

k-krack 08.07.2006 11:44 PM

i could name thousands, ill try to keep the list short though. walmart, starbucks, tim hortons (i have basically no choice but to got to tim hortons though), Phelps Dodge, many oil companies, whose ceo's are just as oily as the substance they so desire..., mcdonalds, cocacola, etc.

oh man!! che guevara's grave is now a 4000-mile tunnel because of how many times he has spun on his grave.

ahem. FUCK YOU VERIZON!!!! what's that you have to pay an activation fee and airtime on your "pay as you go, activation ready" phones! and then you don't have prepaid cards anymore but you still have to pay airtime in fixed fees (do i look like i want to pay $50 for airtime?) and then hacking your phones so you can't upload/download photos and ringtones so we have to use your suck ass service which never fucking works? go suck an aids dripping cock you bastards.

and now, to multinationals we like. you might have the worst advertising agencies in the world and you have no ethics and blah blah, but i can't live without you, coca cola. (yes, i love coke, got a problem?)

Ha! I second that.

And I must say, Starbucks coffee RULES. It's expensive as all hell, but it tastes better than any of the coffee in the shops in my area. And, as with any major corporation, if people want to be mindless sheep and lend their patronage for no other reason than the name, then I heartily congratulate said corporation for lassoing these fuckards like cattle. I'll buy whichever coffee tastes the best, and if it happens to be Starbucks, so be it.

I hate Wal-Mart because it is a gathering place for rednecks with wailing babies. Otherwise, Wal-Mart rules too.

While I like to figure principles into my purchasing decisions, bottom line: I like places that makes things cheaper. Yep.
