CONAN:that was great
reena! that was great
didja notice how out of breath kim was after dancing? awesome |
i liked how thurston was showing conan his stickers at the end of the show...
|
I'm glad they didn't play Incinerate again. I wonder what sticker Conan was commenting on after the song??
|
I turned it off right after the ending of the song, didn't see Conan's comments... what did he say?
|
Yeah, other than than Kim sounding like she could have used a drink of water, it was worth sitting through the vapid celebrity chit-chat.
|
nothing, it was after he said goodnight he started talking to thurston and thurston held up his guitar and was showing him stuff, and then conan went over to check out lee's

conan is great, he got up "I ALWAYS wait for the distortion part at the end, that's my favorite"
or said something like that, i loved the show. made my day after coming home from some bitchy lady at the airport giving me shit. |

I liked the part when kim was dancing I love it when she dances.
|
Conan is a guitarist, so it's possible that he was commenting on the guitar in general. When John Mayer played he said something about trying to master the Chicago Blues, which is pretty hard, so he must be into it. I've also seen him do old skits where he played and sang, besides the lullaby thing he does now. He really seems to have great appreciation and taste in music.
|
Yeah I remember Conan playing the guitar for some charity benefit before.
|
That song gives me goose bumps. It rocks!
Thanks for the vid link Kegmama. :) |
this just hypes me more for the show in 2 1/2 weeks
|
If you watch Kim after Conan walks away, you can see her twice point to her ear as she is talking to Thurston. I think she is saying her in ear monitor was broken. She could not hear herself. I love Kim so much, but that really was pretty bad vocally. Poor thing..........
|
Yeah but if there is one female singer who can pull it off without folk caring, it would be Kim Gordon.
|
Too bad about Kim because musically it was an amzing performance.

yeah i think he played with lou reed at that thing |
Conan played with Lou Reed?? Cool! I remember him talking guitars with Neil Young when he was on awhile back. He was saying he always keeps a few guitars in his dressing room. Sounds like he has quite the collection....
|
Props to Conan for being such a Kool guy. FUCK Leno & these other ass-holes! Conan gives freedom when his music acts perform. For example, Thurston being Thurston improvised @ the end of the song w/ noise. & who was it that cheered first...Conan. Thanks to Conan for booking the Youth, & of course to SY for being such a talented group.
& thanks to our one & only Kegmama for the link. :-) |
Yea that was a cool show. Kim was a bit off but I still liked the way she sang home. Like Hoe-um aga ain. It was fuckin fun

Yes. It was Lou Reed, Conan, Jack Black, Adam Sandler, Dana Carvey and Jimmy Fallon playing Walk on the Wild Side. The funniest part was when Sandler came out and tried to shake Reed's hand and Lou just walked away. Hilarious. He's obviously not an Adam Sandler movie fan. |
Getting ready to watch the video Kegmama posted and those NBC assholes took it off. Something about copyrighted material....
Anyway, I obviously missed the show. Maybe it will eventually be put up later. |
i really liked, right around when the credits started to roll, when it looked like conan and t were jamming for a split second. am i the only one that noticed that? conan was dancing, or something.
