Okay, I work at walmart, and as you can imagine it does little more than pay the bills, so I want to try to make some more money in the time between me working at walmart and figuring out what I can do with my life (since I'm only 20..).. So...

- Selling used shit on ebay (obviously)
- Forming a noise band and releasing 600 albums a year (a few have to sell; I mean, I've sold plenty of scissor shock records, but those take a long time to make, so..)
- Taking internet surveys that pay like 15 cents at a time
- Becoming a begger
- Asking every one of my friends for, like, a dollar a month and saving the dollars
- Stealing change from fountains around town (why do people throw their QUARTERS in water fountains?!)
- Donating plasma
- Donating sperm (though the drive to the nearest sperm bank is about 100 miles..)
- Signing up for weird scientific studies (of which I have never seen any of around here, but I'm sure they exist)


Ways to save money?:
- Only eat spaghetti and ramen noodles and macaroni and cheese (I have a thing for Chinese food, but I need to stop eating at those goddamn pricey buffets)
- Buy only things I'm going to use (why do I buy every overpriced SNES and PS1 RPG I come across? I'm never going to play them all!)
- Do everything I need to do in one trip (stop driving so much.. obvious, but it's hard)
- Convince my girlfriend that she doesn't need to go to $20 buffet dinners every other day
- Stop buying so many goddamn horror movies!!!! So many books! So many albums! So many video games! Only buy something when I've finished with the last thing I bought!
- Stop playing so many arcade games

I dunno.. I don't want to take the fun out of my life, but I only have $3000 in the bank from working for a year, and I really want to build it up as much as possible.. My goal is $10,000 by summer next year, and after I get to that point I'm going to try to figure out what to do with things.. yeah. Anyway, any help (even if it's jokey) is appreciated.

Use DREAMHOST and create as many domains as possible with the "Crazy Domain Insane" package ($7.95/month), rent out the FTP to anyone that's willing to rent it, and use the webspace to create as many pages as possible, and sign up to google Adsense and try and get as many people to click on your site as possible.

I wanted to do the sperm bank thing, but when I went to give my sample, I found I just couldn't do it. Something about being in a sterile room, with a bunch of porn and having to masturbate into a plastic cup with sort of sharp edges turned me off. Plus the application you had to turn in with your sample was huge. I assumed since my one grandma had alzheimers, my 1 grandpa had lymphoma, and on the other side my grandpa had prostate and testicular cancer and my grandma had breast cancer multiple times they wouldn't accept me anyways.

it won't get you much in the short term, but you could always consider taking some of that money and investing it. you could start out with small, low-risk, hands-off things like bonds, index funds, and savings accounts, do some research online, and as you get more comfortable with it graduate into equities, then maybe even weirder things like forex markets, options, futures, other derivative securities, etc. (again, depending on your comfort level). i read somewhere that if you invest $30,000 at the age of 25 and realize around a 5% return you'll be a millionaire in about 40 years (i may have the numbers wrong, but the upshot of it is that it's surprisingly easy to make money that way given some sound financial advice).
