Not Cud surely? |
Fatima Mansions? Felt Field of the Nephilim? Those two sound interesting...
EDIT: Slow Bongo Floyd sounds cool too... |
At one point i had one of their singles. It must have been really shite because:
1)I don't recall what it sounded like 2)I don't know its whereabouts. |
Field of the Nephilim?
I was forced listening to them recently by a polish friend. It didn't do me any harm but i could have avoided them without trouble. It could have been worse. It could have been Comsat Angels. |

Fatima Mansions formed by Microdisney's Cathal Coughlan. Most interesting thing about them is the name. Felt, dire indie band who made one good record (Primitive Painters) Fields of the Nephilim. Dire goth band from the 80's. |
Hmmm... Names do not a band maketh...
|
And what about Kitchen of Distinction? What about them,eh?
|
I've seen 20 of them.

Bark Psychosis.
Now we're doing some serious talking. |
Kill me.I have some singles by David Devant And his Spirit Wife.
|
I lived with somebody once whose 2 favourite bands were The Blue Aeroplanes and Felt. Can you imagine such a person?
|
Oh i love Felt!Blue Aeroplanes are rubbish of the prime order though.
|
This was the same person who took me to see Felt about 5 times during our gig swapping period.
|
Crazyhead. Now there was a band.
|
Most of them.
Fields of the Nephilim were wondrous. I've got all their stuff on vinyl. I uses to work in Liverpool, and there was a nice little reord shop tucked away just around the corner, in what was the Acorn Arcade. They always had some Fields of the Nephilim in stock. |
Could they be counted as a part of the whole grebo thing? Probably a bit too clean? I quite liked Baby Turpentine but it was downhill from there.
|
|
Baby Turpentine was indeed a goodun. But not as good as What Gives You The Idea That You're So Amazing Baby. What a title!
And what beauties! ![]() |
Don't know that one.
|
Crusties!I was never able to get into Fields of the Nephilm that much but Crazyhead i somehow managed to appreciate.I'm sure some of you guys liked Birdland(remember? The blondest band ever!).

Birdland (band)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Jump to: navigation, search ![]() ![]() Birdland was an English rock band active between 1989 and 1990. Contents [hide]
[edit] Biography Formed in 1989 by brothers Robert and Lee Vincent. Their debut single 'Hollow Heart', released on 'Lazy Records', was much hyped in the British weekly music press, due partly to their adrenalised live shows but also to their striking cartoonish 'four peroxide blondes' image, one which suggested in equal parts Brian Jones, Andy Warhol and Transvision Vamp. Despite the release of two well received singles and a Peel Session, by the time of the release of their debut album 'Paradise' their time had passed. [edit] Discography [edit] Albums

![]() Yes. Fields of the Nephilim were an incredible band, easily in my top ten. 'The Nephilim' and 'Elyzium' are superb LP's that should be cherished. Word cannot express their greatness. The Leviathan of goth. Praise be. |
