I can see clearly now

I just got glasses.

Edit: haha, the picture is blurry.

Hip Priest 08.21.2006 06:55 PM

Never needed them. I think I might need some sort of help with my hearing at some point though.

Pookie 08.21.2006 06:56 PM

Speccy four-eyes, me.

nomadicfollower 08.21.2006 06:57 PM

Glasses for me, as well.

Danny Himself 08.21.2006 06:57 PM

Glasses. I don't want contacts. I am not touching my eyes.

I think I'm getting a bit mutton myself.

Hip Priest 08.21.2006 07:02 PM

I have to ask people to repeat things a lot nowadays. Or I work out what they've said by the few words I've heard.

People at work keep whispering because they know I won't hear. But then they'll say one random word really loudly (usually 'lobster') so I can hear it. Still, keeps 'em happy.

Maybe it was all the Pop Will Eat Itself Records we both listened to all those years ago? There's a link.

acousticrock87 08.21.2006 07:11 PM

My eyes are getting really bad. I used to have 20/15, but now they're probably close to 20/60. I only wear glasses for driving in hard-to-see-conditions or reading chalkboards and stuff.

They did sound best played REALLY loud.

Alex's Trip 08.21.2006 08:31 PM

I just noticed that I can see my own eye in my glasses. Only my right eye though.

Cantankerous 08.21.2006 08:38 PM

I don't see perfectly, though clear enough to not wear glasses constantly. I have a couple of neat pairs of glasses though, one like Austin Powers. Sometimes I wear them.

The optomitrist said that the glasses I got are mainly for ensuring that my eyes don't get worse. Because without them it puts a lot of strain on your eyes and it just gets worse.

But I do need them for a lot of things, just not up close stuff.

k-krack 08.21.2006 08:52 PM

i am "supposed" to wear glasses... but i can see clearly as is, and have never got into a situation where i struggle seing/reading something (aside from conditions where it is impossible to see/read, example: dark, getting eyes gouged, etc.)

Alex's Trip 08.21.2006 09:07 PM

It really hurts my eyes to try to read something small up close...

Not doing that again...

I am only supposed to wear them for mid to far away stuff...

Cantankerous 08.21.2006 09:16 PM

but diesel sweetie you're so funny when you're drunk!
harr.

krastian 08.21.2006 11:48 PM

Glasses to survive.

GeneticKiss 08.22.2006 01:33 AM

I have glasses but I want contacts becuz I hate the way I look with glasses

youthoftomorrow 08.22.2006 01:49 AM

i've worn glasses for something like ten years. my vision is horrible. i want to get surgery, but the doctors have recommended that i wait until my mid-20s.

Tokolosh 08.22.2006 02:54 AM

Nope. My eyesight matches an owls. Infravision is something I still have to perfect though.

hypnagogic scratch 08.22.2006 07:56 AM

lenses tire the eye chemically, they often feel dry and itch and the eyes get more sensitive to sunshine and strong light while the tiredness caused by glasses is more mechanical, I often feel like my eye muscles hurt.

I've been trying to get used to wearing none whenever i can again, to enjoy that inborn impressionist 'touch'. I also hear better without glasses/lenses except when talking to people.

LittlePuppetBoy 08.22.2006 03:36 PM

I used to have glasses, but that was to help me see up closer (I'm far-sighted)

pokkeherrie 08.22.2006 04:01 PM

don't need them. i did have glasses for a while when i was about 5-6 years old ("lazy eye") but i had eye surgery for that.
