Dolly Parton.

I just wanted to share the Dolly Love. SHARE THE LOVE. SHAAAAAAARE.

Lovelovelovelove.

I've had 'better keep your hands off my potential new boyfriend' for most of today. Word.

Savage Clone 09.14.2006 05:12 PM

I think you just outed yourself.

Cantankerous 09.14.2006 05:13 PM

Glice 09.14.2006 05:13 PM

I'm a Dolly fan and proud. I've also got tickets for Kenny Rogers soon, that's going to be awesome.

Cantankerous 09.14.2006 05:16 PM

i saw merle haggard.

Savage Clone 09.14.2006 05:16 PM

Kenny is now an unrecognizeable plastic surgery freak with beady little eyes.

Cantankerous 09.14.2006 05:17 PM

he was in some psuedo psychedelic band in the 60s.

Ah, so long as he's still faintly capable of holding a note, I'll be happy. And let's be honest, Cash's voice was shot to fuck by the end, but still sounded great.

Savage Clone 09.14.2006 05:18 PM

Wha'Happen?

Cantankerous 09.14.2006 05:18 PM

kenny rogers and the first edition or something.

The First Edition.
I still maintain that I Just Stopped In (To See What Condition My Condition Was In) is a total jam.
Leslie speakers on vocals rule.
The rest of the LP is total filler.
Funny thing too; Kenny was not the usual lead singer, but sang the big hit.

Cantankerous 09.14.2006 05:20 PM

that was it! i don't remember where i heard it though.

Savage Clone 09.14.2006 05:20 PM

You heard it in the dollar bin.

Glice 09.14.2006 05:22 PM

It's one of those Tarantino soundtrack-tastic numbers. Might have been on the Big Lebowski or something like that. You know what I mean, that genre of films with 'cool' soundtracks.

Cantankerous 09.14.2006 05:22 PM

i think i did actually. i think i was looking for a record to put on at work so i looked in the .99 section and there it was.

It is in the Big Lebowski.
Good copies of the LP go for a whopping 8 dollars.

Cantankerous 09.14.2006 05:34 PM

When it comes to old woman singing country, I think I like Patsy Cline more.

Controversial. Patsy was great, but a fairly limited corpus. Did anyone hear Dolly's bluegrass album? People that late into their career shouldn't be making great albums.

thewall91 09.15.2006 07:40 AM

my grampa went to dollywood and saw a show, bought the video, and made us all watch it at christmas.

i love the song "here you come again." (and there i go....)

and now that i've gotten my obligatory dolly remarks out of the way, just so i didn't let kenny hijack her thread, this is a pretty good website:

Everyneurotic 09.15.2006 08:59 AM

god bless dolly!!!

and buscemi character isn't subpar, he's supposed to be not talk or appear much, that's why he is there; you want him to talk and kill people, see other movies. the big lebowski is awesome.
