NEW Electro Harmonix pedals out soon.

Some are already out, and most are gonna be out late september/october.
I could see myself buying most of these over time and at the right price. Especially can't wait for the Poly Phase.

I'm think I am definitely getting the polyphase and little big muff probably sometime after Xmas, and I want to check out the clone theory sometime too.

I haven't got a phaser yet because I want one that is more than just swooshing, and I think this is it.

Cantankerous 09.18.2006 10:16 PM

i get the feeling that chout may be mildly obsessed with pedals.

CHOUT 09.18.2006 10:18 PM

Yeah, not as big of a fan of phasers compared to other modulations...wanting to sell/trade my vintage small stone towards that when it comes out. I'm sure it's gonna have some crazy sounds.

Pedals, Courtney Love - we all have our obsessions...

Cantankerous 09.18.2006 10:20 PM

i will admit that i was obsessed with her when i was in middle school. now i just really like her.

CHOUT 09.18.2006 10:23 PM

What would a Courtney Love signature pedal sound like???

Cantankerous 09.18.2006 10:28 PM

shit.

Cantankerous 09.18.2006 10:29 PM

actually it would be really clangy and kind of distorted with a lot of treble.

yeah, basically shit.

CHOUT 09.18.2006 10:31 PM

I went to school in Olympia.

Not half as awesome as the Brian May Red Special Pedal.

CHOUT 09.18.2006 11:23 PM

she's really nice. she made me a heroin hotdish once.

Cantankerous 09.18.2006 11:25 PM

i am confused. who are we talking about and might we explain the circumstances?

CHOUT 09.18.2006 11:35 PM

courtney let me come over and smell kurt's guitars and gave me some homeade heroin hotdish back in april of 94 when I was a Metal Church roadie.

Cantankerous 09.18.2006 11:41 PM

Kat rules.....and she will fuck you up.

Cantankerous 09.19.2006 12:38 AM

she's really little from what i understand. as in short.

SpectralJulianIsNotDead 09.19.2006 12:48 AM

Chout, how is the Tube Zipper? I did a Harmony Central forum search and saw for Tube Zipper and saw you had one. I've been listening to clips of it, and it seems to be one of the most awesome distortions I've ever heard. I might skip getting a LBM and just get a tube zipper, although there is something I really love about the Big Muff sound.

I'm becoming convinced though that EHX is the best pedal manufacturer in the world. Although I won't be able to tell you for sure until my inevitable post-Christmas shopping spree.

Cantankerous 09.19.2006 12:56 AM

he was like 16, no way did he get any off her if the story is even half true.

GeneticKiss 09.19.2006 01:05 AM

I should get that Hum Debugger, since I have some problems with hum...I also like how it's not a noise gate, becuz that'd kill my feedback...

As for the Nanos, sorry, but I'm a bit old-fashioned...I prefer my EHX's big.

Wanna check out that new Flanger Hoax and Harmonic Octave Generator, too.

kingcoffee 09.19.2006 01:27 AM

I'm definietly getting my hands on that Stereo Pulsar. I've been looking for a good smaller-sized tremolo for a very long time!! And now it's finally here!!!!

The HOG looks very cool. I want to get either a HOG or a POG. I guess I'll have to try both of them out.

I don't know about the stereo pulsar kingcoffee. The pulsar doesn't have a built in volume boost, which will annoy you because it will seem like the volume is dropping when you turn it on. The electro harmonix tube tremolo problem has a volume thing on it so it rectifies that problem.

One plus of the stereo pulsar is that it will pan in stereo mode, which would be really awesome sounding.

I currently have a tuna melt tremolo and I've been looking at this: http://www.catalinbread.com/sem.html

Seems really cool, and if you get a teaser stallion oscillating OD to go with it, it seems like there is a lot of cool stuff you could do.

I also want to eventually get pedals with stereo ins/outs though. I've got this grand plan for my pedal board that requires months of saving up. It is so frustrating. :(

It's very cool. I bought it maily for the distortion, but the envelope filter is real cool. Definitely a pedal you want to write down your settings. I got it used and I'm thinking about replacing the tubes soon, since my friend's new one sounds better to me. I like the distortion alot, a bit thicker than my turbo rat so it's a nice contrast. I still need to sit down with it and get to know it better.
Been curious about the newer hot tubes pedal too...

EHX is easily my favorite pedal company.

I got way the fuck brown back in April of 94 with Court, as I call her when we hang out. Kurt's guitars smelled so good.
