What should I be for halloween?
 

I'm trying to think of something cool and cheap this time. I haven't had a cool costume since I was 6 (Michelangelo.) I do remember when I was 10 I went as ROTJ Luke Skywalker, but it was just me dressed all in black with a wooden block from my toy collection that was shaped like a lightsaber handle.

So, what should I be for halloween? My mom said I should be Ian Curtis, to which I replied "nobody would get it." Then she replied "they might if you are a zombie with a noose around his neck."

I think the zombie rock-star theme might be a good idea because I'm pretty sure my friend Matt is going to dawn some spandex and be a zombie freddy mercury.

I think I am going to be a mad scientist- some boots, some gloves, a labcoat, some crazy looking glasses (I've got a pair of bottlecap glasses somewhere) I'd really like one of those shirts with that button up along shoulders, but I have no idea how to get one or even what they are called.

We don't do Halloween in the UK in the same way as many other countries do. The best we get is kids turning up uncostumed and demanding sweets or money, which makes it very little different from any other day.

I want to hear about someone halloweening dressed as a stingray please.

I hate Halloween. I hate it so much that last year I "hired" my wife's manicurist to come to our house and pass out the candy for us.

Doesn't your kid like it, when dad takes him/her trick or treating?

i went as emo kid two years ago, i got my tightest jeans i have, my coheed & cambria t-shirt (yes, i have a coheed and cambria t-shirt), my red chuck taylors and emptied half a bottle of hair gel on my hair down and front. it's funny that i had all the elements for the costume since i never wear any of that.

i usually i'm the laziest person for a costume, when i was in 6th grade, i went as backstage hanger-on, i dressed like i usually dress and taped a guest list to the side of my denim jacket; three years ago, i just bought a plastic jason mask and told them i was jason.

this year, to conmemorate the release of alter/altar, i'm going on a huge hooded robe and go as sunn o))).

Yeah, that would be truly scary, considering they're both out of high school. And not even living at home. Yeah, it was fun when they were little--but frankly after they lost interest, it was just a damned annoying holiday, and even when I was young and single I abhorred costume parties.
