Wow, this album is great!.. deftones have now somehow officially made 4 amazing albums (i hated self-titled..).

i'm sure this has been asked hundreds of times, but how do i convert .rar files into .mp3s?

I bought their self-titled out of curiosity when it first came out and I was very very disappointed. There was not a single track on there that I liked. I have heard a few of their earlier singles that I thought were good, though.

Oh, just to let you know, there were 2 extra bonus tracks from the sampler. Both live recordings...

The reason why I didn't put them in the original .rar file is because A. YSI doesn't send any files over 100 MB for free, & B.The audio quality isn't that great. But if you have a good enough equalizer, than it should sound better.

Just let me know if you would be interested in hearing these as well.

I heard about this album, but was not really interested until I saw this thread. Now I'll check it out. Doubt I'll buy it, though. Deftones have made some fine records - Around the Fur a definite highlight.

I dislike the Deftones quite strongly.

i'll check it out, but i developed a hatred towards the deftones ever since their last album.

around the fur is such an amazing album, white pony is good; the first one i'm not entirely into but i love root, 7 words and bored quite a lot.

No Prob EN. I can see how some people would hate the self-titled Deftones album. & I think that this record is different than that album. I was reviewing the album w/ a friend of mine, & we both thought "SNW" is kind of a departure from any type of Deftones we've seen before.

can't wait to hear this, I love around the fur and self-titled, been looking forward to this all year. roll on the tour.

saw them last night at a free in-store. was the shit. then got the record and had it "signed". I ended up checking Chi cuz he told me I look like the dude from Soulfly, to which I replied that I don't look like anybody, InI 100% pure original, to which He got burned, and Chino and Frank started to laugh.... of course it wasn't my intention to burn Chi, cuz he is a cool guy, but when people tell me I look like some other dude, I get slightly offended. End of the day, the record is the shit, the band is still the shit, though I must say, they took the hip hop completely out of this record. it doesn't really sound like a "deftones" record at all....

I'm listening to this right now and forgot how cool it was. I honestly haven't spun the CD since it came out in 2006 (which was sort of the year I cancelled out listening to Deftones)... but I think I'm going to listen to Around the Fur and all those other records. White Pony was my favourite record when I was... 11? 12? And I honestly think it set me up for listening to things outside of the basic rock riff territory,

its a good album, though truly White Pony is a masterpiece, and Around the Fur has a fierce edge, but SNW was a very polished, even sophisticated album for the deftones.. and chi, wake up man, we miss you :)

Saturday Night Wrist is easily my favorite Deftones album...

It's been almost a year now, Chi Cheng. The fact that you're basically still alive says you still have shit to do in this plane of existence, so time to get up and get back to rockin'...

While I respect the band's decision to hold off on releasing Eros (the album that was supposed to follow Saturday Night Wrist), I wish they hadn't since it's basically done and everything they've said about it seems like it could've been another masterpiece like White Pony or Saturday Night Wrist...

I saw them live this summer for the second time(first time being a really mah wrist concert) . Seriously the blowed my socks even they miss Chi. Never felt it so good to feel 12 again and see one of my old time favorites kill some of my nowadays favourites with a great liveact.

I'm not a big fan of Deftones, but Saturday Night Wrist is great. I listened to it a lot when it first came out.

Deftones rule, always have.. always will.

I thought you always hated Adrenaline haha. Well that changes everything because now I actually agree with you! Some of the stuff on self-titled is quite alright but.. how did that end up the finished product? It's the only Deftones album that feels lazy and up to it's eyeballs in filler.
