Norma J 10.17.2006 08:46 PM

I can't answer your question, it's too hard for me. Another Side of Bob Dylan is the last record I listened to today... No! I listened to Bringing It All Back Home after that.

I also found the book The Difinitive Bob Dylan Songbook yesterday. It has like 300 something songs in it. Although, alot of the chords are completely wrong. It still has complete lyrics though, with is a definite highlight.

HaydenAsche 10.17.2006 10:35 PM

I don't like Dylan.

SpectralJulianIsNotDead 10.17.2006 10:45 PM

I don't really like Dylan all too much, but I do like Talking John Birch Paranoid Blues.

CHOUT 10.18.2006 01:45 AM

It's alright ma - he says many things in that song that probably resonate more today than even then.

LifeDistortion 10.18.2006 01:54 AM

Um....my brain is on overdrive thinking of Dylan's collection of songs.

"Bob Dylan's 115th Dream" comes to mind and it hasn't been mentioned.

sun city girl 10.18.2006 02:33 AM

angelina, that's from the bootleg series vol.2. also i like that "everybody must get stoned" thing. and my back pages, but i prefer the byrds' version.

there's some others too but i'm too lazy to think about them right now.

One of my favourite songs fo all time. But then there's a whole bunch of Dylan songs that I'd say are up there, too.

sonic sphere 10.18.2006 08:14 AM

I rank Desire higher than a lot of Dylan fans.

"The Ballad of Hollis Brown" has not been listed yet.

The "Billy" compositions and "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" from the Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid soundtrack are probably worthy of inclusion also.

Savage Clone 10.18.2006 10:05 AM

The Ballad Of Hollis Brown
Masters Of War

These are the only Bob Dylan songs I find even remotely listenable, but I am glad for his existence if only for these two songs.

It's because I have a thing called 'good taste', dear.

atari 2600 10.18.2006 10:06 AM

No one has written "Idiot Wind'" yet...that's a bit surprising.

"Angelina" is a good pick. The "stoned" song, for anyone out there that doesn't know already, is "Rainy Day Women #12 & 35".

Everything on sides 1, 2, and 3 of BoB.

I hate almost everything Dylan did after that, including Blood on the Tracks and Desire. In fact, I think I hate Blood... and Desire more than just about any other albums out there by anybody.

Trasher02 10.18.2006 12:33 PM

I want you tututu

Desire is a great album. I picked it up on vinyl when I was younger for $2, mint condition.

The Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid soundtrack has a beautiful sound to it. He captured the dirty era perfectly. It's strange how one of Dylans most famous songs (Knockin' on Heavens Door) is lifted from an album that most people/Dylan-fans don't own.

Silent Dan Speaks 10.18.2006 10:33 PM

So many great songs, but at the moment "Tangled up in Blue" is my favorite.

Cantankerous 10.19.2006 01:26 AM

the sun's not yellow, it's chicken.

Norma J 10.19.2006 04:24 AM

^^^ Your favourite song is Tombstone Blues?

Listening to Blood on the Tracks right now.

New Morning is a fantastic record. He was in a really good state in his life around this album I read, and you can tell. Surprised (well not really) that others haven't mentioned songs off it. Day of the Locusts is one of my favourite Dylan songs.

terminal pharmacy 10.19.2006 05:01 AM

one more cup of coffee

gmku 10.19.2006 09:27 AM

Desire is pretentious hippie bullshit with Dylan trying to go all political. I hate it to death. Blood is pretentious hippie bullshit with Dylan trying to go all sensitive love poet. I hate it to death.

DemonBox 10.19.2006 09:39 AM

Tangled Up In Blue

DemonBox 10.19.2006 09:47 AM

I don't belive you!

gmku 10.19.2006 09:59 AM

I'm a Judas. But it's only because I love Dylan so much. Why did he stoop so low after Blonde... .

hey alex 10.19.2006 11:47 AM

motorcycle accident

Cantankerous 10.19.2006 01:15 PM

no, actually. because he does whatever the fuck he wants and nashville skyline is one of the greatest albums ever and don't you dare so much as argue with me about it.

gmku 10.19.2006 01:58 PM

I won't. I won't dignify such an ignorant statement with an argument.

Cantankerous 10.19.2006 02:13 PM

but you will dignify it with a comment.

gmku 10.19.2006 02:13 PM

That wasn't a comment. It was a remark. An non-dignifying remark.

Cantankerous 10.19.2006 02:15 PM

bullshit.
