I think it's a great idea. My band don't have anything on mp3 yet... It wouldn't take me five minutes to put it up, but we're going to edit things so they're more polished. At some point in the coming months I shall use this.

I knew some kids in a US band called Purge, heh.

My band's page is www.myspace.com/jsdunnmusic I'm uploading 4 songs from our 4 track demo we recorded on our 2nd practice with our new bassist. I added some sampling to the songs sort of man or astroman? style, but I don't know how I feel about it, I need some input.

I have a video of myself practicing, and I sort of just want to do the next recordings just like that, with a little amp cranked and all the levels done just right. I don't like recording on that little 4 track, because you have to do one track at a time. I like to feel like I am competing with my guitar for loudness, which is kind of lost when I am just singing a long with a pair of headphones on.

on another note...ive transfered some 4 track tunes to gargeband and then to
itunes and assumed that the song had been turned to mp3 format. when i tried to upload a tune on myspace it said that the tune needed to be an mp3. id like to submit a song to this site so any help would be appreciated.

well, i don't have a band put together yet, but i do have a few mp3s of me playing guitar. they're at www.purevolume.com/greenfroth. i recommend you go with the one titled 'Sasquatch Bovine' seeing as it's the only one with any sort of structure. (by the way, the titles on there mean absolutley nothing and will be changed as i turn them into structured pieces)
