I did poke them. It wasn't as gratifying as I thought it would be. But I learned quite a bit about anatomy. I thought the white thing was my radius, but no, that's a tendon - the bone is the "stick" immediately to the right (I believe radial is the term?). It's a long story. But the short version is that I had an incision that wouldn't heal, and the doctor thinks it's because I had a tattoo there, so he removed it and now has to replace the skin.

I did. It's salty.

Now there is a "wound vac" on it, which sucks the bodily fluids out of it 24/7 until the skin graft takes place. You can literally feel the suction from the vacuum on the open wound. This is definitely the most inconvenient injury I've ever experienced.

And you can HEAR the gurgling of the goo going through the tube. Yummmmm
