On the whole I prefer white. Argentine Torrontes is my favourite variety, although sauvignon blanc is nice too.

The Greeks have been producing great wine for the past five or six years - there's a real talent there - so I'd recommend getting down to the nearest branch of Oddbins and exploring their Greek selection (especially Notios and Amythystos).

i take it you're not much into wine

No not that much. I usually buy a bottle every other week or so, and I by no means follow or keep up on wine news. I have tried enough to know that I like most red zins, pinot noir, and some cabernet's.

I'm a big wine drinker - aslong as the wine hasn't been processed using the aid of milk or eggs.

I live about 10 or so minutes away from where all the vineyards are, where alot of the wine is distributed all across the world.

I'm more of a red drinker, but I've been drinking abit of white lately being summer and all.

Norma J 12.21.2006 07:42 PM

Wines a hard alcohol, baby. Well alot harder than beer and champagne. But American beer is basically water compared to here and the UK.

Destroy Rock 'n' Roll 12.21.2006 07:43 PM

Awesome.

Sideways it is for tonight.

pantophobia 12.21.2006 07:46 PM

cabernet sauvignon is where it's at

TheMadcapLaughs 12.21.2006 08:02 PM

its all about carlo rossi, sangria, that shit is fucking deadly. goes down far toooo easy. and with all the sugar in it, your sure to get a pleasent morning surprise. the wise thing to do is to drink so much that you wake up drunk, thats the way to avoid the hangover. cause theres no moderation with that stuff. in conclusion, Libya is a land of contrast.

RdTv 12.21.2006 08:11 PM

^agreed. It is hard to lay off that stuff, especially if you get it ice cold...its like drinking kool-aid.

ALIEN ANAL 12.22.2006 02:43 AM

ii nearly spew when i drink wine, it tastes like a mix between piss and vinegar

sun city girl 12.22.2006 03:54 AM

I think you're drinking the wrong kind.

Bad wine does taste like vinegar.

Buenas noches, me suscribí recién y estoy probando esto de los mensajes.

sonicl 12.22.2006 04:14 AM

Gluhwein, bitte!

A Thousand Threads 12.22.2006 04:22 AM

Glühwein is very good but if you drink too much it can have a bad ending.
Punch is tasty too

jheii 12.22.2006 05:12 AM

Beaujolais.

Pookie 12.22.2006 05:14 AM

Liebfraumilch.

jon boy 12.22.2006 05:28 AM

i guess i like white more than red for the hangover.

Thomas Moronic 12.22.2006 05:38 AM

Rouge rouge rouge.

jon boy 12.22.2006 05:41 AM

red wine conatins more of the stuff that gives you a headache afterwards apparantly. never mix red wine and guinness unless you want to spend the day afterwards on the floor.

pokkeherrie 12.22.2006 07:04 AM

you shouldn't drink that cheap lambrusco stuff, neffie! :p

i like both, but drink white wines more often than red ones. not that i'm a frequent wine drinker though. you'll never find me drinking wine at a cafe/bar... only at home, friends' homes or in a restaurant. i got a pretty standard taste i guess, chardonnay being my favourite white wine and cabernet sauvignon or shiraz my favourite red wine.

I try to stay off of Sangria nowadays, ever since I vomited all over RdTv's apartment :)

Inhuman 12.27.2006 01:11 PM

Has anyone tried the new Fusion? Apparently it's really good and only about $8.00. I tried this one a little while ago that I forget the name, but tasted more like fruit punch than wine, it was great
