Bleach,Nevermind,In Utero, Unplugged Which is Best?

Poll Coming up.

SynthethicalY 01.02.2007 03:42 AM

Unplugged, In Utero, Bleach, and nevermind.

Like you said Unplugged just has this eerie aura about it, yet wonderfully calm.

In Utero was a new direction they where heading.

Bleach is just good punk fun.

And like almost everyone, Nevermind is just too clean.

Norma J 01.02.2007 03:50 AM

Too hard for me to pick.

_slavo_ 01.02.2007 04:34 AM

Never been huge fan of Nirvana, this band just kind of missed me. But I really loved Unplugged when I was 15.

marleypumpkin 01.02.2007 04:40 AM

I'll admit, "Unplugged" was my first Nirvana experience & I'll always cherish that record., but hands down "In Utero" is my favorite. The lyrics are captivating, the music is intense, & beautiful at times. Just an all around amazing record.

sonicl 01.02.2007 04:42 AM

On the occasions that I listen to Nirvana (which are rare these days), it's Unplugged that I will turn to. It has a certain purity that I like.

terminal pharmacy 01.02.2007 04:46 AM

i just cant get past apprentice it fucking rocks

sun city girl 01.02.2007 04:56 AM

bleach, but probably just for nostalgic reasons. i really loved that lp way back in -89...

Thomas Moronic 01.02.2007 06:13 AM

I'm hardly a fan, but I think that In Utero is the best thing that they put out. The other albums have some decent bits, but for consistency I just think In Utero has better songs and hangs together as an album more. It flows well.

The Lung 01.02.2007 06:34 AM

Incesticide is the only one I listen to anymore. After exhausting Nirvana from the age of 5 to 16 and listening to shit loads of boots it's the only one that I can't get tired off.

Out of the ones there though I would say Unplugged, it's one of the best acoustic shows I've ever heard. I also listen to the Amsterdam Paradise show which is on the Live Tonight Sold Out Video, I just love the versions of Come As You Are and Sliver.

Ditto

musicfallinglikesnow 01.02.2007 06:43 AM

I used to have some Nirvana albums some time ago but eventually got tired of them. BUT when I heard Unplugged for the first time I thought, "God, they have chords!". Hence, my favorite. Bleach was nice too.

nicfit 01.02.2007 06:55 AM

In Utero by FAR.
It just sounds like Nirvana should sound in every other record they put out ( except the unplugged, duh... which is really good, but it's not 100% nirvana if you understand what I mean), and it's much more focused than bleach or nevermind.

The Erotic Pacman 01.02.2007 07:55 AM

he's talking about the covers.

nicfit 01.02.2007 08:24 AM

yeh, the covers (that I like better than nirvana's songs on that album) and the fact that it's an album hardly comparable to the "electric" ones.

Trasher02 01.02.2007 08:31 AM

In Utero.

I dreamed that cantankerous came to my house and destroyed all my Nirvana albums, what a bummer.

nicfit 01.02.2007 08:38 AM

Uh, so you created an unconscious connection between "cantankerous" and "utero"?

Trasher02 01.02.2007 08:44 AM

Appereantly. I didn't see her but when I came home all my Nirvana and Dino Jr. albums were destroyed with a post-it on it that said:"Cantankerous".
That bitch.

ALIEN ANAL 01.02.2007 08:58 AM

i deff have to say bleach for me, there really isnt a NIRVANA song that i dont like but yes Bleach does it for me. If any NIRVANA album influences me its Bleach

Trasher02 01.02.2007 09:08 AM

Not that I don't like Bleach but the album is kind of primitive in a way. Some of the songs sound like they have been made in 2 minutes.
To each his own I guess.

ALIEN ANAL 01.02.2007 09:54 AM

yeh they do have that, but i love that sort of thing, i love Jam music, made up songs on the spot, i get a feeling of more truth from it, because it was made in 2 seconds, It was the thought and riffs and ideas right then and there. Might not be exactly true for Bleach, but its just the general idea.

PAULYBEE2656 01.02.2007 01:11 PM

nevermind a classic no doubt.
bleach is an ok album with absolute gems inside...
in utero is my favourite tho

how about sticking muddy banks in there. its one of the finest live albums ever released in my opinion.....

Inhuman 01.02.2007 01:15 PM

Nirvana? Never heard of em.

Banalities : Nevermind is too clean, In Utero is not so bad, Bleach is good but very rough, and MTV unplugged is a magical moment. Which is the best ? Difficult to say. I choose Bleach 'cause just few people did it.

ooohhhh, are they that band that headlined Woodstock?

Silent Dan Speaks 01.02.2007 02:58 PM

In Utero for me. It puts nevermind to shame in my mind.

finding nobody 01.02.2007 03:10 PM

Unplugged> Bleach> In Utero> Nevermind
It's funny. In 7th grade when I was waaay into Nirvana's Nevermind I wen to walmart and got Bleach. I didn't like it very much at all. Now, it's the complete oppisite.
FYI I love all of them

Same.

It's obviously just me that finds Cobain's voice a bit whiny on Unplugged.

Other than that record, I'm a big fan of all the Nirvana albums.

I had Bleach on my walkman continuously when it came out.

Pax Americana 01.02.2007 09:38 PM

In Utero is by far my favorite Nirvana album.

contrelefuckingsexisme 01.02.2007 10:49 PM

hmm incesticide.

Prisstina 01.02.2007 11:23 PM

Probably In Utero, although I love the majority of Nirvana's stuff. I used to practically worship Nevermind-- its still a great album but I hate that its the album all the "punk" kids love.

k-krack 01.02.2007 11:24 PM

In Utero, no question.
Regardless, I love everything they've done.

Word up.

k-krack 01.02.2007 11:28 PM

It's sad to hear such an awesome song like You Know Yr Right... and to know that there will be nothing to follow it up. It hinted to such great things...!!!

Toilet & Bowels 01.02.2007 11:30 PM

incesticide is my favourite by far, but of the ones listed i'd pick bleach.

i don't understand people complaining about nevermind being too soft and then voting for the fucking acoustic record.

Dead-Air 01.03.2007 02:10 AM

Unplugged never worked for me. The Nirvana songs are better as originals and so are the Meat Puppets and Bowie songs too. I love In Utero, as the realization of what they learned on each of the other records taken that much farther. Incesticide really should be in the poll too!

SonikJesus 01.03.2007 02:36 AM

In Utero for me. It's such a great album. Radio Friendly Unit Shifter rocks. For those into downloading torrents, here's a cool site that is almost completely Nirvana. http://onemoresolo.net/ Get the Loose Ends Compilation. It's way better than WTLO. There are a lot of insanely dedicated fans in the Nirvana community. edit:What the fuck? I pushed "enter" to separate some sentences and the board automatically puts everything together. This has been happening for the last couple of days. Even if I edit my posts, they still come up like this.

SpectralJulianIsNotDead 01.03.2007 03:02 AM

In Utero definitely.
