Mpls show: REDUKT featuring Zebulon Pike

For the less-than-a-handful of Mpls boardies. 3rd show for my new band; I love every band on this bill and the theater is incredible. Come down if you are so inclined.

CHOUT 01.04.2007 02:07 AM

I'll be there.

porkmarras 01.04.2007 02:53 AM

Can you do a worldwide live web broadcast of the show so i can imagine throwing a bra at you onstage?

Inhuman 01.04.2007 02:55 AM

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to porkmarras again.

Hope it goes well Savage Clone! Best wishes

porkmarras 01.04.2007 03:03 AM

Seriously, though,i expect a recording of the show if possible.Great poster too.

oh thanks, yes, but i was hoping for a litte more detail, from der Klon, e.g., is there any relation, magico-philosophical, aesthetic or genetic, of any kind, if he happens to know the culprits?

Well, only Clone or the members of the band could answer that.

!@#$%! 01.04.2007 05:21 AM

yes, you see, strange thing, that movie, i had been hunting it down, and reading about it, only 30 minutes ago (peKuliar? Koincidence?) but it was sold out, see:

Oh you just have to watch it.I wonder why i haven't mentioned it on the drug movies thread because watching it feels like taking drugs.

it'd be great if there'd be a recording

live web broadcast, yeah ! haha

Savage Clone 01.04.2007 09:29 AM

Our name is more a reference to the Maclise soundtrack than anything, as I heard that before I ever saw any of the film and I always loved the sound of it.
Salamander still exists, but I like to have several projects going on.

Audio and video recording will occur for sure.

HairwayToSteven 01.04.2007 09:53 AM

I will have to see if I can make it up there for this show. Zebulon Pike is fantastic!!

Great poster by the way.

Did you ever watch the movie? It 's well worth it.

Savage Clone 01.04.2007 10:03 AM

Thus far I have only seen parts of the film, but my friend recently got the DVD so I'm sure I will be seeing the whole thing soon enough.
The soundtrack blew my mind for sure.

porkmarras 01.04.2007 10:10 AM

Did you ever check out any of the movies on the ubuweb site(which also links you to the Aspen website where there is some stuff about Ira Cohen)? That is one amazing and resourceful site.Cool Gordon Mumma doc on there,if he is your thing.

Savage Clone 01.04.2007 10:12 AM

It is indeed an invaluable resource.

ooooh....

thanks, Herr Klon! my curiosity is sated. porkie pmed me some great links to ira cohen info as well.

anyway, again, i wish i could attend your show, but i don't have a snowmobile

btw, got any demos you could post now??

HaydenAsche 01.04.2007 12:42 PM

The twentieth. I might be able to make an appearance, be pretentious, maybe smoke some cigarettes, and, undoubtably, leave early.

Seriously, though, I might be able to squeeze that in. That's a Friday right? I'll probably be in Minneapolis. If I convice some of my friends Pitchfork loves you they might attend.

Savage Clone 01.04.2007 04:07 PM

!@#$%!: No demos at this time. We will commence recording our debut LP immediately following the show. Also, it's currently 40 degrees F outside and all the snow is melting. Totally weird and unnatural.

Hayden:
It's a Saturday night, and it will be over by 11:30-12:00.

so it's true the ice caps are melting... anyway, too far north for my travels, and i'm on the road all this month, and i'll eventually have to go back to work. i have a friend who lives up ... somewhere near you, she's the descendent of norwegians, freezer people, and i might visit some day, maybe.

so, since no recordings are available, how about a description-- what kind of music are you guys making?

Saturday. Possibly better? I don't know. 11:30-12:00? I might not have even woke up by then. Don't flatter me with early bedtimes, Clone.

sonicl 01.06.2007 01:08 AM

You won't go, Hayden. That would mean getting off yoiur skinny hipster ass and doing something.

I do something all the time. I have a wedding tomorrow so I'm getting some beauty internet time before my beauty rest.

I probably won't go. Not that I'm a dick but if something else comes up, I'll probably do that.

sonicl 01.06.2007 01:26 AM

I'd go. But I'm too many thousand miles away. When Clone plays his European tour I'll be there though.

HaydenAsche 01.06.2007 01:27 AM

Maybe if Clone PROMISED to put out I'd go.

I guarantee Zebulon Pike will blow your little fire crotched mind. Seriously one of the most amazing live bands around here right now.

HaydenAsche 01.06.2007 02:11 AM

Fine. I'll go. Stop being such fucking Minnesotans about it.

heavium 01.06.2007 07:12 AM

non-minnesotan telling you:

GO SEE ZEBULON.

sonicl 01.19.2007 12:00 PM

Enjoy the show, Monsieur Clone.

Savage Clone 01.19.2007 01:24 PM

Black.
We go for the "vague silhouette" look onstage.

CHOUT 01.19.2007 03:18 PM

I have a few friends comin' - trying to support this show. Just don't kick my ass, Savage Clone.

Savage Clone 01.19.2007 03:23 PM

Thanks, man. Much appreciated. Putting on this show is not cheap.
This act of kindness will earn you forgiveness for that Electric Avenue thread.

CHOUT 01.21.2007 02:32 PM

Did anyone else from the board go? It was a good show. Mr Clone was epic as fuck. Your guitar sounded real good, and the sound overall was quite impressive.

Savage Clone 01.21.2007 02:42 PM

Thanks for coming, CHOUT.
Your new beard-and-hood look is very intimidating. And a little creepy.

If anyone else from the board came, they didn't say hello.
The sound guy did a great job. He worked like a dog all day long with us to get the PA situation as good as we could get it with the equipment we had.
I haven't had that much fun in a long time.

CHOUT 01.21.2007 03:26 PM

My red leather pants and cape were at the cleaners...
