i just found out one of my best friends has been diagnosed with cancer

and i am fucking pissed off.
i destroyed my room, cried for the first time in a long time, and now... im just angry, confused, and sad.
i hate this feeling, fuck.

Danny Himself 01.14.2007 06:17 PM

I'm sorry, man. I've known someone who was diagnosed too.

Is it treatable? What kind of cancer is it?

EMMAh 01.14.2007 06:31 PM

I hope you're doing alright Crypto :( I've been around a lot of people with cancer and know how hard it can be, PM me if you want to talk :)

porkmarras 01.14.2007 06:43 PM

That is awful crypto. There isn't much that you can say in this sort of situation but i hope your mate will get better.

compulsive diarrhea, jico 01.14.2007 06:55 PM

that's tough.

you need to be strong and support your friend to beat that cancer.

you can't think like that!
positive mind, pedro! everything will be ok!

Inhuman 01.14.2007 07:20 PM

That must be really tough :(. I have never been in the situation, but there's people that were close to me that passed away, and keep in mind that your friend can fight the cancer and not let that happen. You haven't had the best luck lately man, I really hope things start looking up for you in the near future. Best wishes!

!@#$%! 01.14.2007 07:22 PM

that sucks man. sorry.

luxinterior 01.14.2007 09:40 PM

Hang in there buddy. For the sake of your friend if not for your own well-being. If you want to keep anyone updated on your friend's condition and your own, I'll be listening.

Пятхъдесят Шест 01.14.2007 09:46 PM

Not much I can say that hasn't already been said, but hang in there, and best wishes to your friend.

ALIEN ANAL 01.14.2007 09:48 PM

sorry to hear dude. My Mom lost her dad to cancer and losing her brother, its a shitty battle, but its worth fighting.

Norma J 01.14.2007 10:33 PM

Sucks, dude.

I've lost a few people from cancer, but also know people who have beat it. It doesn't mean death, it means battle. The battle beats some and some beat the battle.

HaydenAsche 01.15.2007 12:53 AM

Edit.

val-holla-ing 01.15.2007 01:27 AM

i know how you feel. just hope for the best and enjoy their company as much as possible. i'm sure it'd really help them out to have a supportive face around as much as possible.

cryptowonderdruginvogue 01.15.2007 02:43 AM

thanks for everything, y'all
i know i can be a real jackass sometimes and i apologize if i've been rude to you in the past (hayden, thank you for the edit. i dont know what you said originally, but it means a lot to me that you realize this is serious. thank you for the respect.)

i realize now that i have to be strong so that i can be there for my friend.
if he can keep a positive outlook on the situation, then i should be able to do the same.

ALIEN ANAL 01.15.2007 02:45 AM

how old is he ?

cryptowonderdruginvogue 01.15.2007 02:46 AM

he is 19

ALIEN ANAL 01.15.2007 02:47 AM

to bad, where is the cancer?
I understand all cancer is bad, but some is easier treatable than others, is it a bad case?

cryptowonderdruginvogue 01.15.2007 03:08 AM

oral cancer, lining of his cheek.
they're going to go in thru behind his ear (so he wont have noticable scars) to remove 3 lumps or something.
its fucked up but they think everything will turn out fine.

ALIEN ANAL 01.15.2007 03:16 AM

yeh, its great that they think itll all be fine
Hopefully everything goes awesome

fishmonkey 01.15.2007 07:24 AM

shit i hope everything works out for your Buddy man, get him revved up and positive now and keep his spirits up, you have to be strong for him man, he needs some love and friends around him now. My Mam died from cancer when i was a wee chappie, i remember her fighting it but she lost the battle in the end, your Buddy has youth on his side and whit that comes a lot of strength and he has a good mate in you.

chin up now and Monkey salutes you.

_slavo_ 01.15.2007 12:00 PM

Sorry to hear that Crypto.

Hang in there man.

HaydenAsche 01.15.2007 12:24 PM

I was going to write something about my indifference or lack of caring, just to be a dick, but that's really fucking shitty, man. I hope he pulls through and I hope you feel better. I know what destroying your room and flipping out is like. I had a complete mental breakdown a few weeks ago. I physically shook and cryed for nearly 4 days straight. I slept on the fucking floor of my car out in the middle of the country. I understand you. Fuck, man. I'm sorry.

ploesj 01.15.2007 01:47 PM

it's been said before but you really have to be strong and support your friend, don't be scared to talk to him about his illness.

i hope he's going to be fine.

Trasher02 01.15.2007 03:10 PM

That's just awful Crypto.
I'm sorry to hear that man I really am.

SynthethicalY 01.15.2007 04:47 PM

Sorry to hear that Crypto.

thindarkduke13 01.15.2007 05:14 PM

Crypto, I've never talked with you but I'm here for ya. My uncle got diagnosed a couple of weeks ago with oral cancer as well. He's the only uncle I'm close to. I know how it is. Our family is having a benefit for him in a few weeks.

My dad had that when I was little.

Malachi_Constant 01.16.2007 11:33 AM

Must be going around or something. One of my best friends has been undergoing chemo for the last few months on account of this shit. On top of that, I just found out my Grandmother's going to have to have a masectomy for much the same reason within a week or two. Grandfather died of it a little over a year ago. Cancer is balls, man.

Alright, I don't know the cause of the breakdown, so I'm not gonna harsh you about crying and shaking or whatever. That is, unless it was because you had to sleep in your car. That'd be lame, emo, over-reactive, all that shit. Personally, I lived in the backseat of my car for the first 6 months of 06. Transformative and wholly (well, mostly) positive experience, I'd say. Had some wild times, chicks really kind of dug it, the cops gave me a ticket to ride every time I was pulled over, I had more free time to concentrate and work on the things I wanted to, etc... Hell, I'd recommend it to any and all for a try, at least.

Katy 01.16.2007 11:46 AM

Sorry to hear that. Hope your friend will be alright. Good that they caught it while it was operable.

sonicl 01.16.2007 11:56 AM

That is such shitty news.

One of my friends has been being treated for cancer, and after having the infected areas removed and having several sessions of chemo has just been told today that the disease is in remission. She has been incredibly positive throughout, and has been helped throughout by having loving caring people around her, which I'm convinced has been an aid to her fighting the disease. I hope your friend benefits from the same and has the same outcome.
