What would you like to do with your life?

me, im not completely sure.
ill prob. go to school for a couple of years, get my masters i electricity.
Take a year to settle down into a life pattern.
enlist into the special forces for a few years if the country goes in a decent direction by then.
Then I'd like to take my acquired knowlegde and live in the wild for a year or two then come back to the urban jungle.
Then for the rest of my life just make a living on my hobbies.

EMMAh 01.15.2007 08:41 PM

I've devoted my life to bringing down Dr. Phil. That's what really matters, all the other actions my future holds are insignificant.

soapbars 01.15.2007 08:45 PM

im going to watch tv, smoke cigarettes and get drunk mostly, occassionally coughing, shitting and eating.

soapbars 01.15.2007 08:53 PM

dont worry about me, im a tough guy.

youthoftomorrow 01.15.2007 09:09 PM

what i would really like to do with my life is be in a band.

my parents don't seem to think that that is a viable career path.

contrelefuckingsexisme 01.15.2007 09:13 PM

aaaa don't even ask...
I've recently finished High School. I felt pretty happy about it. But now...I sit down and think what I'd like to do with my life...
I've already signed up in the public University to study English Translator. And I feel I am not happy about it like everyone else...I see people being happy about the carreer they've chosen, but I am not...So I'll have to wait and see...
I feel like I would like to get a job. and then just play. Meet my friends and play and record. But studying means, working hard inside and outside University...and that gets me down. Not because i am too lazy. It just tires me mentally.

I might take up Underwaters CSI. Don't laugh!
My reasons:
1. I can take all the classes I need at a local community colledge less then 15 minutes away
2. I love forensics and such
3. Pays pretty well

Keep in mind that forensics isn't always as CSI makes it out to be.

finding nobody 01.15.2007 10:37 PM

Yeah haha. I dont watch that bullshit. I enjoy Forensic Files. For all I know that show probably stretches the truth and fabricates alot. I like it alot though

That's a really good show. Usually all I watch during the summer.

finding nobody 01.15.2007 10:42 PM

I was watching it every night two or three summers ago. I should write down the show times and start watching it again

what do you do Sonicl?

sonicl 01.16.2007 05:47 AM

I'm a pension administrator, which means I keep records of people's pensions, arrange for them to be paid, and have to deal with lots of stupid people who ask lots of stupid questions. My heart really isn't in it any more, and there are times I could almost cry I feel so demoralised.

jon boy 01.16.2007 05:47 AM

i just want somepiece of mind and to be content and succesfull in whatever i do. will settle for piece of mind and not the iron maiden album either.

peace of mind, maybe?
heheh just kidding.

(no, but seriously, is that what you mean?)

sonicl 01.16.2007 06:08 AM

The people I work with are nice, but where I sit I have to get up from my desk and walk into another office if I want to speak to them. By the time I reach where a conversation was happening it's finished.

Hence that I spend so much time on this board.

sonicl 01.16.2007 06:16 AM

I'm moving house in two weeks' time. Once that's all finished and my girlfriend and I are settled in, I'll be looking for a new job.

_slavo_ 01.16.2007 06:18 AM

I wanna make as much music as possible
I want to earn some money, then move to Japan and marry some beautiful japanese girl

:)

alteredcourse 01.16.2007 06:21 AM

i dont want to do anything with me life !!!!! they say people my age will make an average of 4 fullout carreer changes in their lives . WOOOO . you mean not just none or one but four significant struggles of stagnation and aimless searches for a place to rot ? wow thats awesome . such variety . i would rather like to give and take and share a lot of love . fuck i hate hippies !

You're lucky to at least have someone to talk to nearby.I generally spend most of the time in this shoebox by myself and the only people i communicate with are you lot, people from the offices around the buliding(via email, mainly),the staff in the restaurants and a parade of mainly posh, easily irritated fuck ups who seem to be the most demanding people in the world.A lot of them are nice but quite a lot of them don't seem to know what they want and when they want it so i have to literally put words in their mouths.I go from hardly talking to anyone for 1 hour to having 5 people all asking me things at the same time.I generally love my job as it isn't bad per se but i'm thinking of changing it 'cause i need a bit more human interaction in what i do and less internet/telephone work.

sonicl 01.16.2007 06:27 AM

Yes, it's amazing how much difference interaction with other people can make to a job. Even the most boring work can become enjoyable given the right people around you.

porkmarras 01.16.2007 06:36 AM

I have to say that the people who work here are generally really nice and if they aren't,it's such a big building it makes it easy to ignore them. All the boys and the girls who work in the restaurants next to my office are very sweet and sometimes bring me chocolate etc.My most immediate boss is a nice man too and he generally doesn't bother me.

jon boy 01.16.2007 07:10 AM

its good when you have a nice working environment because it really impacts on your life. you spend more time with the people you work with than your friends and family. isnt that messed up?

Tokolosh 01.16.2007 07:10 AM

Besides having a job that I enjoy, I find it a nr. 1 priority to have a good laugh from time to time. Humor will save us all in the dreaded claustrophobic environment of the office peoples! :)

jon boy 01.16.2007 07:16 AM

we are supposed to have at least one belly laugh every other day to stay healthy.
