Pedals to increase experimental
To bleed unto the crowd a cityscape
New York City rockers transcendental

In blasts of static sheds and off high pings
Maracas to the toms in structured pace
Drum sticks underneath alternate tunings
Simplistic booming contrasting of bass

Dissonance expressed that shifts the ceiling
Shaping sound by analog disruption
Searching out a raw and urban feeling
Dirty riffs of beautiful corruption

Sweet love ballads sung without the pretty
Screeching, growled, or screaming something gritty

I have a whole zine full of sonnets about Sonic Youth! It had like 10 sonnets or so
Don't know where it's from though, someone just put it in my mailbox along with other Sonic goodies. I will investigate and report back!
