here's a fucking toast to you and the start of the new year. i fucking wanted to put (solar) year like that in parentheses but really it's the fucking year. the real one. i mean the sun comes back tomorrow and everything starts all over again and the rest is just fake religions and numbers. this is it.

ANYWAY mes friendos-- here's to saturnalia finding you well plastered and in good cheer

here we drank shots of whiskey at noon and marked the sun. among other ritual acts we read random pages off jenthebenn's book-- she does awesome things with words. thanks you.

OKAY! drink some more today. make the sun come back tomorrow morning. light fires. i'm quaffing cognac now so who the fuck knows how long i'll last conscious but there is plenty of firewood.

New Years was not spent alone like I expected. Turned out quite nice (thanks to the snow storm). I hope you all had wonderful evenings...
