Has anyone who lives in London or England heard some news about giant spiders being found down the London Underground tunnels?One of my flatmates was telling me about it yesterday but i can't find anything to read on the internet so i'm not sure if he was only stoned and decided to pull my leg.

Wasn't it on a tv programme over the weekend? I'm sure I read something about it.

I haven't a clue. It's on ITV, which is a channel I generally avoid.

its true and they grow to the size of a small chinese restaraunt. they are not nearly as dangerous as the horses that live in the underground though.

They say that wherever you are in London there'll be a rat within a couple of metres of you, don't they? There's probably one sat in Porky's cubicle right now, waiting to pounce on him when his back's turned.

there are thousands of rats in berlin, its infested.

THe thing about the rats is that although there's a multitude of them, generally stay out of the way, in their own little world.

If only we could say the same about chavs.

Rats also have their good points too. For instance they are very caring parents, and go to great lengths in the sewers to assure that their offspring are cared for properly.

When rats do become a problem, it is usually relatively easy to deal with them , for instance with some kind of baited trap or whatever.

Do you mean is the spider thing true, Porky? It depends on how gullible you are.

The rat thing? I doubt that there's one in your cubicle, but it would be a good idea to have a broom handy just in case you need to fend one off.

Okay, I confess, I'm terrified of giant squid. I saw this documentary called "20,000 Leagues under the Sea" once, and one tried to eat a submarine.
