what are the cause of my dizzy spells?
fuckin hell, this place is boring as shite today so i'm roping yee all into this one...
I'm not going to a doctor because you go in with one thing wrong with you and come out with a list of things that are really wrong with you - so with yr help i wanna self-diagnose myself.. What's causing these dizzy spells i am getting on and off? i got one 5 minutes ago and another while watching Home and Away on my lunch break an hour ago.. (feel free to hijack this thread for yr own self-diagnostics..) |
what are you up to in home and away?
|
It might have something to do with your recently missing arm. Remember that?

ahh yeah i do, although i think it was my uncles arm? nahh its not that. |
it could be your diet?, or any drugs you are taking / or have taken in the past. I suffer from Anxiety attacks about 2-3 times a day, and caffiene makes this much much worse, so you should look at what you are eating/drinking/taking.

gang in the bay, rocco is the new kid, staying with Sally (who is still alive) ric had started dating matilda, jack and martha broke up and she's with some new copper mate of jacks. |

thank you Screamingskull and you Porkmarras.. yes i do think maybe it has something to do with my diet, i cant stop eating shite really and my coffee intake is kinda up the walls. |
It's probably nothing. I had a major dizzy spell after being hunched over for 10 minutes flipping through boxes of record that were on the floor. When I stood up I got a massive headrush which was actually quite nice and lasted for longer than usual.

Low blood pressure maybe?
|
Huh...when I first tried to reply to my first post it said I couldn't post another message within 15 seconds of the first and to wait 3 seconds before I hit 'quick reply' again. Sort of defeats the point of 'quick reply' doesn't it?
|
Auto-asphixiation could be the culprit. You did mention you were "roping us into" this one.

Fishmonkey - Stop playing on the roundabout for so long.
Alian Anal - What about Neighbours? What's going on in Neighbours? |
just so you know,
im surrounded by my fathers medical texts (and mothers cook books, the pleasures of cooking is right beside human physiology, its like the bookcase of a cannibal) and currently have the Fundamentals of Clinical Hematology by Leavell and Thorup in my lap as we speak. if it is DIEt induced anemia, which i doubt it is, (im a doctor you know [Ref. "Strangelove" in the warhol thread]) it may be due to: 1. Nutritional Deficiency--In adults lack of folic acid might be expected to produce anemia. 2. Faulty DIEt- yr hardly a biafrin my dear so we can just skip this. 3. Defective Absorption-- Defective gastric function & the faliure to secrete the intrinsic factor that is essential for the normal absorption of vitamin b12. 4.Excessive demands for erythropoiesis/bone marrow faliure/disease/drugs and or chemicals ETC.... |
oh and to the pill popers:
i also have the 2005 ed. of The Compendium of Pharmaceuticals and Specialties. |
if you drink too much coffee (which I do) or alcohol (I could use more) you can become dehydrated fairly easily.
that would cause you to have dizzy spells. but what do I know? I'm not a doctor, I just play one on the intardnet. |
