I was on brainwashed.com and they are saying that the new Shellac record called "Excellent Italian Greyhound" will come out on April 10th, 2007. Here's the link - http://brainwashed.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=931&Item id=53

touch & go don't have a release date yet and they have announced their releases for the next three months.

This is true but they don't always keep people totally up to date with what is planned and what is happening with Shellac from what I can tell. We can at least hope.

yes, we can hope, but keep in mind that labels like to create expectation and have the media (publications, radio, etc.) know with anticipation about their upcoming releases and such. after all, it's a business for the labels. but yeah, i hope they announce soon the date and that you (well, brainwashed) are right.

new shellac record is gonna be good. that is as sure as night will follow day.....

Okay, my original post was wrong on the date but this is for sure now. I got this from the Touch and Go website: Shellac- Excellent Italian Greyhound 06/05/07. They have the album art as well there on their website. Can't say I particullarly like it though.

If you look on the Shellac info bit there is a window on the left pics of their albums on and there is a pic of the new record. If you click on it it tells you the release date. Cover looks like this:

that's sooner than i'd expected... part of me is curious, part of me fears that it will be much the same as their earlier albums.

i wonder if they can keep this one from leaking. i remember reading that were going to be absolutely no promos of this under any circumstances to avoid it from leaking prior to the release date.

i think those tour dates posted above are from last year.

This is going to be golden.
