Thurston "broke up" Chelsea Light Moving because SY fans are "too crazy"

Disagree. CLM wasn´t SY, but there are much more other bands that´s like Rob´s saying. To me CLM was ok and I like their album more than Best Day.

that is the second time this week i read the same reason of CHLM inactivity. well, I don't know what to say.. he still plays a lot of small venues, doesn't he?

As a matter of fact when Chelsea was in Finland, there was some idiot, drunken "fan" who shouted him some idiot things. But it was small festival, I think Thurston would have played there also with his own name (Kim was in that same festival year before). Sonic Youth has ever been famous in Finland, so naturally any SY members ever play in big places here.

I don't believe this story. So now he plays the same small venues under the name of Thurston Moore Band (with Steve Shelley!). Surely that would attract more "crazy" SY fans???
