That's sad.
I'm offering thoughts and prayers for his family. |
I don’t get what’s happening here.

I guess a trip to the hospital was enough for RanaldoNecro to start a thread about Msnson being dead......but it’s 18 hours later and Charlie is still with us. So in the meantime, this should be treated as a death watch. A virtual hospital waiting room where we can gather and keep each other company while we reflect and share stories......someone put on a fresh pot of coffee. |
lol “rot in pieces” sounds about right

The Nortoious Rotting Has Begun......April 22, 1971 (me = 2 years old) until November 19, 2017 (me = 49 years old) is one long stretch of time. A lot of things will be said about Manson over the coming days......just Don’t Believe The Occult Hype |

Rest in...something. I dunno what.

if you ever read anything about him, he was raised abominably. Not to excuse anything he did, but it was certainly easy to see what happened to him. Fuck, we gotta do better as a society

Goodbye Charlie, with you and bin-laden gone, who will the Spectacle have to use as the boogeyman?
The Family was just a microcosm of then-society under control by a skilled black magician whose Family were communally taking controlled acid trips but covertly using amphetamine and were on a speed binge during the murders. It seems that Charlie had figured out how to reprogram people into being killers! Women's place in the Family was biblical. For a young man in 1967, it must have seemed wonderful. Paul Watkins' book is worth reading if you can find it The reason Polanski's place was chosen for the hit was he was known 'on the scene' to pick up runaways in LA and bring them up to the mansion and film them, and some may not have left - the State Police took all those films - and Sebring was some kind of ecstasy dealer - I've always wondered about Polanski's proclivity to drugging and raping children and his part in the Manson murders - he was out of town! Had he assaulted someone elses child and manson was hired to hit Tate as payback? The Labiancas played a part in a larger non-tax filing organization, so to speak, and weren't paying up correctly and were also moving some kind of product to make money so they were put on Manson's radar. |

March 16, 1968. By the time the My Lai massacre ended, 504 people were dead. Among the victims were 182 women—17 of them pregnant—and 173 children, including 56 infants.
Knowing news of the massacre would cause a scandal, officers higher up in command of Charlie Company and the 11th Brigade immediately made efforts to downplay the bloodshed. The coverup continued until Ron Ridenhour, a soldier in the 11th Brigade who had heard reports of the massacre but had not participated, began a campaign to bring the events to light. After writing letters to President Richard M. Nixon, the Pentagon, State Department, Joint Chiefs of Staff and several congressmen—with no response—Ridenhour finally gave an interview to the investigative journalist Seymour Hersh, who broke the story in November 1969. |
I miss him.
