A suicide bomber somehow managed to get through numerous security checks and exploded in the building's cafeteria.
The commentator I saw on BBC World said that the guards are Peruvians that are cheap to hire and, for whatever it's worth, that the explosives checks are generally done by Zimbabweans. He took care to point out that one, just as he himself (as a journalist), can obtain special cards that allow one to enter without being searched.
