How do you all think Lee feels about the current pop culture definition of "Karen"?
Given he wrote not one but two songs about a woman named Karen, obviously she is (was?) someone of importance to him, plus I seem to recall that when someone asked who she is/was, his reply was something along the lines of, "No one will ever know." Yet today, "Karen" usually means this lady:

I don't think "today's 'Karen'" listens to Koltrane nor says "Religion kills more than it saves ya, man".

..or one could re-write the lyrics to Skip Tracer to be Contact Tracer, about someone with that job title tracking down Karens for whom the line "this she did in public for us to see" would describe toxic anti-mask behaviour.
I'm applying for jobs and keep seeing Contact Tracer jobs come up, made me think of this song. |
jajajaj. Karen Tracer
