Their first LP has been around for 9 months and I have finally discovered them. It took one listen of "Lazy Eye" for me to pick up the album and the EP. Give me your input on this band. To me it sounds like Smashing Pumpkins meets My Bloody Valentine. Good shit! REALLY good.

What cracks me up is that there is a review on Amazon that says the last song on the album should have been shortened by 2 minutes because it's only noise. And I thought that was one of the best parts (and a great way to close an album). It comes with being a SY fan I guess.

If you haven't heard of this group yet, check them out. I'm sure they have a myspace page, and plenty of youtube videos. Also, the single Lazy Eye is far from the best song on the album.

If Lazy Eye is the best... the rest must be atrocious.

Agreed. They just bored me after a week. Their brief over-driven/fuzz parts are decent and if that's all it was they would be servicable. But, the singers whiney voice is terrible.

I like them, but you won't get many other good reviews on this board. :p

it really doesn't matter that they aren't bringing something new, I love slow noisy bands.

a little over a month ago I saw them play at a small venue. thankfully snowpatrol was off on some bullshit, so the pickups headlined. no encore, but they blew out the PA.

Didn't they rip off the Dirty Boots video or something?

Wolfmother is even worse then Silversun Pickups in my opinion.
